  • We have stayed at Matfield Station in the past and continue to find it a wonderful place to be.

"Matfield Station in a comfortable and well stocked place with views of the rolling green hills of the Flint Hills - gorgeous. We so enjoy sitting outside in the evening watching the stars as they can only be seen when city lights are far away. The sound of the crickets and cicadas, together with fireflies blinking on and off adds to the charm. And then there are the trains. They can be heard from quite a distance as they approach and then appear with roaring speed. We happen to love this, but for those worried about the noise, it is not too loud when inside. We slept well and love waking to the morning light spreading over the hills."

  • Tranquility

"Needed a quiet place to stay while settling my Father's Estate and this wonderful place was just what was needed for my family. The weather even worked in our favor as it was unseasonably warm and the Kansas winter sunsets over the lake were gorgeous. The house was amazing and the heated floors made you want to get out of bed in the morning! Niki, the owner was awesome. When I go back to Kansas to visit I will definitely stay at that house, close to the city, but far enough away for tranquility and beauty."

  • Lovely cottage in Beautiful Manhattan KS

"Just like the description this was an hidden gem just one block from downtown Manhattan. We went out for Homecoming weekend at KSU to see our daughter. Unlike staying in a hotel with party goers up all night, this cottage afforded us total quiet and relaxation. We could not have been happier with the accommodations."
