"I stayed in this property for a month with my wife and two kids after relocating to Kansas City for a new job. We stayed here a month to give us time to find a good house to move into. This place beats the socks off of staying in a hotel, trust me. The porch has a fantastic view of downtown Kansas City like the other reviewers have said. The inside is very nice and comfortable. It comes with pretty fast internet/wifi and cable television. The upstairs bedroom is large with a comfortable bed, and the upstairs bathroom is nice with two sinks and a nice shower. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and the downstairs was comfortable too. There's two beds downstairs in the basement that are both comfortable and another bathroom in the basement too. It stays nice and cool in the basement. There's a backyard that backs up to woods, and my son enjoyed playing around in the yard. Parking wasn't ever an issue and we just parked on the street in front of the property. Another plus of the location is that it's about a block away from Slaps BBQ which is possibly the best barbecue in Kansas City. We ate there multiple times since we were so close. Definitely check out the burnt ends, they are excellent. The owner, Steve, was great and answered all our questions and was responsive to all our needs. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Kansas City."

  • Back for a second stay

"What a perfect home in a perfect location. This is my 2nd time staying at this location and the house does not disappoint. This 4 bedroom house accommodated my 7 adult guests as we got back together for a college reunion. The back deck and front porch were great for gathering and sharing stories of our college days at Rockhurst University, which is less than 2 miles away. The close proximity (3 blocks) to the Brookside shops and restaurants made it easy for my group to walk to dinner and get groceries without having to get into our car. The neighbors are very friendly and were helpful with recommendations and ideas on what to do in KC during our stay. The game room provided hours of entertainment with a ping pong tournament. The house was super clean and had fresh linens and towels for everyone to use during our 3-night stay there. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to reunite with friends for a weekend or to bring the family to stay for a week to explore all that KC has to offer."

  • Very nice!

"We stayed as Alumni coming back for a football game weekend, this cottage did not disappoint. The home was clean, modernly decorated and came with all the necessities of a quick trip. The owner was easy to work with and get a hold of with questions. We had a great weekend and would love to use this place again in the future."

  • Tranquility

"Needed a quiet place to stay while settling my Father's Estate and this wonderful place was just what was needed for my family. The weather even worked in our favor as it was unseasonably warm and the Kansas winter sunsets over the lake were gorgeous. The house was amazing and the heated floors made you want to get out of bed in the morning! Niki, the owner was awesome. When I go back to Kansas to visit I will definitely stay at that house, close to the city, but far enough away for tranquility and beauty."
