"Great vacation!!! Beautiful house inside and out, quality throughout from silverware, to light fixtures, to wall decor, to bedding, ect. Every corner had something to look out but not overly done. Selection of books and movies, if you find time between the fishing, swimming, and boating, was outstanding. Owners very hospitable, went the extra mile with a car repair for us. Flashlights in every room proved they thought out what a renter may need. Besides it. being a great property to call home for a week, it's in a great location to many attractions!! I'm not one who likes to repeat vacations, but this one is back on the list! So much more to go explore!"

  • THE PLACE WE KEEP COMING BACK TO!

"We've had so many family events and obligations that unfortunately for us we haven't had a chance to get back to this property for too long. Last time we stayed at the owner's Cedar Shake home - it was great, but this time with it being just the 2 of us we paid our first visit to the stone cottage in awhile. It is as wonderful as ever. Cozy, peaceful - a great little home. As always the owners were just great. We saw Bald Eagles from inside and from the deck and really got lost in the view, as we only can here. The autumn colors were gorgeous. Thanks for making everything perfect, warm, clean and stocked with lots of the best!"

  • a day in the life of gods country>>>>

"This is an amazing home. The view is spectacular, kitchen is well equipped, I cant say enough good things about it. We had people from 15-77 years old and it was perfect. My mom is semi handicapped and we had no problem getting her around in her walker on the main level. would love to go back someday.."

  • Great house for a family vacation

"We had a wonderful stay at this house. Four large bedrooms (two king beds, two queen beds) made plenty of room for all 7 of us. The two sunrooms were inviting and very useable. My son needed to do some business-related work while we were on vacation, and the home office made that very easy, too. Kentucky Lake in general, and the Jonathan Creek area in which this house is located, is very laid-back and slow-paced. Don't expect the big supermarket or mega-Walmart nearby; the restaurants are pretty much all mom-and-pop type. Everything was very much as described in the listing; we did have a water supply line on the toilet rupture during our stay, and the owner had it fixed the following morning - very responsive. All in all, we were very pleased with this house and would recommend it."
