  • Very nice vacation spot

"My wife, sister, brother-in-law, and I really enjoyed this beautiful house for a fall "fishing" trip. Everything we needed from the house, deck, boat dock, to the fire pit provided a wonderful experience. The views are terrific from the family kitchen and the deck. The house is well cared for. The dock is easy to access from the house on the concrete walkway. The owners have a mosquito service that makes the outdoors very pleasant; we spent every evening at the fire pit before retiring for the day. It is definitely a place we would like to return to sometime."

  • Cedar shake

"Great vacation!!! Beautiful house inside and out, quality throughout from silverware, to light fixtures, to wall decor, to bedding, ect. Every corner had something to look out but not overly done. Selection of books and movies, if you find time between the fishing, swimming, and boating, was outstanding. Owners very hospitable, went the extra mile with a car repair for us. Flashlights in every room proved they thought out what a renter may need. Besides it. being a great property to call home for a week, it's in a great location to many attractions!! I'm not one who likes to repeat vacations, but this one is back on the list! So much more to go explore!"

  • We enjoyed the home very much. It has a great cabin feel to it and the view is amazing!

"This was our first experience with HomeAway and I was very impressed. The property manager was wonderful, she answered questions quickly and was very friendly. The property was very clean and we loved that it was fully stocked with everything we needed (kitchen stuff, towels, bedding). The stairs were a bit tough for the kids, but they managed just fine. Only downside is that the water was very muddy so we weren't able to swim much and we didn't catch many fish. Overall, though, it was a great experience. Thanks Phyllis!"

  • Beautiful home with lots of room for everyone but be aware of the steps leading down to the lake.

"We just returned from our week long stay at Catfish Cove and the home is truly a treasure. Six lovely bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was just right for our group of 12. I don't think there was anything that we needed/wanted that was not furnished AND the Bunn Ice Tea Maker was wonderful. The location is quiet and we saw a mother doe and her twin fawns feeding outside the house. There are 2 screened in porches and a wonderful swing set that our younger grandchildren enjoyed. The only tricky thing is navigating the 100 steps leading down to the covered 2 slip dock. The steps are made of wood and do not set level with the ground so you need to watch your footing and they become slippery after a rain. We had 2 slips during the week. That being said: Catfish Cove served us well! A big Thank You to Jayme, our contact for the week: quick responses to all of our questions."
