  • True Home Away

"This home was absolutely perfect. My family was in town for a UK graduation. From the furnishings which were an eclectic blend of antiques with modern appliances to the fire pit, my family had a wonderful weekend. The home is far enough out to be in the country yet close enough to get where we needed to go in less than half an hour. The layout of the home and the small touches like the throws in the rooms were welcome. The owners thought of everything to make our stay feel like a home away from home. We would definitely recommend this home. The patio in the back and the fire pit were our favorite places. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores while telling ghost stories Thank you to the owners for creating such a warm, inviting getaway for our family. We loved the chess pie."

  • Great location in the city

"My extended family needed a place to stay to celebrate Christmas in Lexington and this was a great spot! We had two preschoolers and 4 adults that stayed. I had a wonderful experience working with Ine. He was willing to set up a time for me to see the place before I booked since I live locally. Throughout the process, he was checking in and available to help with anything we needed. The house is close to downtown and campus, which makes it a great place to stay if you have events in either place. We mostly stayed in and enjoyed the spacious kitchen, comfy living room and cozy bedrooms. The updates the owners have made to this historic property are gorgeous. The weather was unseasonably wonderful so we were able to walk around the neighborhood, go to Woodland park nearby and swing on the front porch swing. The layout of the house is such that it would be more ideal for a group of all adults. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are off the kitchen and living room and it was difficult for the children to settle and sleep while the grownups were still awake visiting. In the summer it would have been no problem, since there is a spacious back porch that extends the living area. That was the only fault that I can think of for the house and it was unique to our group. Even with that slight challenge, we had a wonderful stay! Ine left us a folder with resources for everything in the house and recommendations for restaurants in the area as well as a nice welcome basket. This is a great place to stay if you're in Lexington. You get to feel at home while still feeling like you are treating yourself to a beautiful welcoming location."
