  • Great Getaway

"This house was a pleasure to stay at with friends. Great location, was well stocked, great fishing. Mammoth Cave National Park was an easy 40 minute drive. We had fun on the lake with the available kayaks but be sure to bring your life vests. There was plenty of space indoor and out. The grill was great and there was plenty of kitchen utensils. Overall great getaway."

  • A Great Vacation Spot

"If what you are looking for is a beautiful, quiet spot to chill out, this is the place. The house is impeccable and the location is great: surrounded by trees and a short walk to the lake. There's a beautiful gas grill and a fire ring. That said, it is somewhat isolated. The nearest supermarket is 20-25 miles away; the same for most restaurants. Also, if you are coming to the area to visit Mammoth Cave National Park, figure on a good 40-50 minute drive (including a picturesque ferry ride.) My wife and I and our three grandsons enjoyed ourselves immensely."

  • Great Mammoth Cave Adventures

"We had at great stay at Lakeside Dreams. It was better than the pictures showed. Very spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the porch and ate every meal there. Cell reception, including Internet connection, was great. I just advise getting there in daylight. We arrived around 8:30 and it was hard to find as it is below the road down a steep driveway. The lake level was at the low winter pool level, but a quick walk to the boat landing made it easy to fish. Our son caught his first fish of the season there. It was a quick drive to Mammoth Cave where we enjoyed great hiking and of course cave tours. Plus there were several places to stop for groceries between the house & park. Overall, a great location. I would recommend staying if you're looking for a fun Mammoth Cave adventure."
