  • awesome place

"We had a great time at the cabin. We hiked, zip-lined and hung out during the day and sat by the campfire every night. It was just what we three sisters needed for 6 days. We needed a break from the stress of everyday life and this provided that for us! We had an awesome time."

  • Unique cabin, fun stay

"We had a wonderful time during our 2 night stay in Glaucomys Suite. The cabin is very unique and there is so much detail in the structure and layout. We loved the style of the kitchen and had fun cooking meals on the gas stove. Toilet took a little getting used to, but was not as bad as we anticipated. The drive up to the cabin was comparable to off roading. We would recommend having 4 wheel drive, however there were many 2 wheel drive cars up there at other cabins. Other cabins were near, but they were not in sight and we never heard anyone else during our stay. The back porch was perfect for sitting and drinking coffee in the morning. On the down side, we were disappointed that the cabin was not clean. It was in need of a deep cleaning and this is what we would expect when there is such a high cleaning fee you are required to pay. Another area of disappointment was the apparent renovations being done on the cabin ( several large dry wall patching throughout the main living area.) This would not have bothered us if we were informed prior to our stay. We did have problems getting into the cabin when we first arrived, however we were able to get ahold of the owners right away and they were very helpful. If you are looking for a quite get away this would be a good place to go. We love the Red River Gorge area. Recommend eating at Miguels Pizza as well as the Sky Bridge Station."

  • Peaceful escape!

"The cabin was super cozy and we loved all of the outdoor areas too. The interior was clean and ready for us to throw our things down and go play. The area has so much to offer...we hiked, fished, zip lined, and went canoeing. We truly didn't want to leave and are already planning a return trip."

  • Weekend get-away with family

"We visited Lillie's Cub Cabin the first weekend of July. The cabin was amazingly clean and very well furnished. The beds were nice and firm. Our two families (four adults and four kids) fit perfectly into the cabin. We enjoyed cooking, sitting on the front porch, nightly fires, day trips hiking and to the swimming hole, and restaurants Miguels & The Rockhouse. Sheila and Ken were very accommodating and attentive! We look forward to returning!"
