  • Fantastic get away

"Great layout of the house, where everyone can crash upstairs and have fun downstairs. Everything is in great shape, lots of fun stuff to do. Would definitely come back again!"

  • The perfect setting!

"Coudn't have gone any better. The house is amazing, the space is inviting and we had everything we needed for group stay IN! We barely left the house and cooked all our meals right there in the kitchen, it was perfect. The outside patio was the best, lots of chats out there while enjoying the crisp Fall air! We will be back!"

  • Amazing property with quick and easy access to many activities

"For Christmas, my husbands side of the family wanted to meet somewhere "in the middle" between where we lived in NC and where they lived in MI. My side of the family is located in the Louisville and Lexington KY area, so Shelbyville fit that need! Next would be the task of finding a place where 15 people could stay. We were blown away by the description of this property. This loft is amazing and comes with a 225 year history. Ben was responsive throughout the booking and rental process. They use this property as their home, so that it's exactly what it feels like! We found every room met a specific need for us. Huge open floor plan with plenty of couch/lounging space. A very large dining table (that was also great for playing cards and other games), open kitchen with lots of counter space and "hang out" space - it was perfect for when both families got together. There was a large theater room with projection TV and 3 queen beds - great for the kids and teens! The "man-cave" has 3 big screen TV's and that was great for watching playoff football! There was even a playroom! Two of the bedrooms only had full size beds (a bit tight) and also a jack-and-jill bathroom. The guest room had a king size bed and bathroom. Then, there was the master! I really didn't want to leave! The master bath is exquisite with an amazing steam shower. We hope to come back when it is warmer to experience the incredible outdoor entertaining space that is HUGE! Another large table and tons of seating to watch the big screen TV while sitting by the fire! We felt like we were in heaven. The coffee shop downstairs prepared urns of coffee for us every morning and it was fun to be so close to downtown shopping and dining. We were also just about 30 minutes from downtown Louisville, so a quick drive to even more activities. I highly recommend this property and it exceeded our expectations!"

  • Nice getaway

"We had a great time in Louisville, including staying in this house. It was large and spacious. Our big family wasn't cramped at all. We would have felt more comfortable with window coverings...just a personal preference. It could have used a more thorough cleaning...floors needed scrubbing, spiderwebs all over the outside/windows, stink bugs in the house, etc. Otherwise, it was exactly what we needed."
