  • Such a joy to stay!

"You know sometimes you read the reviews and think "Oh my,, well if its half that good it'll be great for us"? This location is that good and more. The place was impeccably appointed, down to the "good" paper towels and napkins (not that one ply garbage that is worthless), tissues, three throws in the living room to cuddle up in. We were traveling with our Scarlett (Australian Shepherd). No problems here! Treats, toys, dishes, even a super comfortable dog bed (she hadn't ever had one that puffy!). Nancy and Bret are such a very nice couple and by all appearances they are amazingly kindhearted too (ask about their rescues). We did ask Nancy to let Scarlett out one day since we were running late, and it was no issue at all with her. The location is really in a good spot, with parking for cars off the road (!). We could walk in to the old district of Georgetown to wander in and out and have a bite to eat. A short drive to a brand new Kroger. Stones throw to the Old Friends Farm and Kentucky Horse Park.....20 minutes to Keeneland. We went all over the area for four days and enjoyed every day immensely. Oh - and the gas grill in back was such a treat, since you can only eat out so many days in a row.... Terrific!!!"
