  • Outstanding family getaway

"We celebrated my husband's birthday with our seven adult children coming from Indiana and California. The home and grounds are beautiful. The spaciousness of the home provided a comfortable settings for us as a group but also allowed plenty of privacy. The furnishings are grand and unique but very comfortable. The home felt warm and inviting. Highly recommend Chef Shane's breakfast and dinner. The catered meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Fabulous place. We look forward to a return visit."

  • Labor Day Retreat

"Our family rented this beautiful home for the Labor Day Weekend. I was so impressed when I walked in with how clean the home was. The layout is very open and great for a large family gathering. The kitchen is very well stocked. The property and lake views were beautiful. We also rented the pontoon boat for a day and had a wonderful time. John & Kim were very accommodating for all our needs. I would highly recommend this property for rental!"

  • Excellent place to stay!

"This place was an excellent choice for our group. We had difficulties finding a place near downtown that would accommodate our group of 9 adults comfortably and I feel like we lucked out with Deirdre's place. The house was extremely spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We ended up bringing two blow-up mattresses just so that everyone could have their own bed. The house was in a very convenient location. It was easy and cheap to grab an Uber to get downtown and to most of the area attractions. Speaking of which, there's a nice tavern bar a block away to grab some food and drinks. The only negative about the place was that the kitchen area was a bit warmer than the rest of the house. Not unbearably so, but it was definitely warm enough that we didn't want to hang out in there too much. All-in-all, our group would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others."

  • Quiet, spacious retreat

"We stayed recently with our two teenage sons and this house worked out just as we hoped. There was plenty of space and everyone had their own retreat space since the layout of the bedrooms is very spread out. It's very quiet and peaceful so there were occasional wildlife encounters we found interesting (beavers, deer and lots of large birds). We explored the beach, built a fire in the fire pit and just watched the boats go by from the rocking chairs on the back porch. Beth and Jamie put a binder together with recommendations for what to do in the surrounding area and had local guide booklets on hand which was very helpful in planning our day trips. We liked the fact that the area isn't overdeveloped, but there were plenty of unique activities that helped us connect and have fun together. Having such a comfortable waterfront house surrounded by nature to come back to each evening made for a wonderful get away."
