  • Comfortable stay

"Judy was very communicative throughout the entire booking process up until our arrival. The house was clean and comfortable and the surrounding area was serene and relaxing. We were in town for a wedding so quite busy and did not have a ton of time to explore the area, but would highly recommend the cottage as an easy holding place for exploring Door County!"

  • Home offering great views of and access to Lake Michigan

"This home is set between an abandoned house (so very quiet on one side) and what was mainly an owner-occupied cottage during our stay. (The downside of the former is that the owner's dog was constantly running onto our rental property and even jumping on us. OK if you like dogs, but some people don't.) The view of the lake from the property is fantastic and there is a small separate, screened-in room, on stilts, which affords an even better view and has the benefit of separating you from mosquitoes. (Strangely, I thought, the clothesline is in the screen area so clothes will be dripping and blocking your view. We festooned ours on the deck chairs outside.) During our stay the beach was narrow (erosion seems to be a generalized problem), but fine for our needs. Lots of beautiful rocks. The house itself has a well-equipped kitchen, though we mostly used the grill for our main dishes. There's a brand new TV as the one that had been there stopped working right before our arrival. So.. . the property manager was very quick to fix this problem. The master bedroom has a queen, another bedroom has two singles that could be pushed together and, it seems, fixed with a kit that was in the closet (we didn't use it). The other bedroom has three singles, one of which is a trundle, so another bed underneath. Tight sleeping quarters but as one is mostly in the shared space and outside, not a problem. On the downside, all of the drawers are full. There's nowhere to unpack your clothes. It's not fun living out of a suitcase for a week, especially when there is more than one suitcase per bedroom. Also a downside, we couldn't find any chairs to take down to the beach. If you have mobiility issues, the steep and multitudinous steps will be a problem. All in all, the plusses far outweighed the minuses and we would happily contemplate renting this property again."

  • Cool loft condominium

"Traverse City Commons is a great place sto stay. There are two excellent restaurants, two wine tasting rooms and coffes on the premises as well as a variety of shops, including several art galeries. We always walked to downtown; it takes approximatly 30 to 35 minutes. It is a nice and safe walk even at night. There is a beautiful park around the complex, including almost 500 acres of woods with numerous hiking trails. The condo is spacious for two people and has everything you need (there is a laundry on every floor, if you need that). There was a TV, but we nevet touched that. There is so much to do in th area; you should not watch TV. The internet was fast."

  • Exceeded our expectations.

"Wonderful place for our family of 8's long ski weekend… Great location to both ski slopes and lodge, decor and layout was awesome, hot tub and outdoor/indoor fireplace was amazing at the end of a fun day, and JJ was great to work with! Would definitely recommend this place, and will return."
