  • Breathtaking House and Gardens

"I wasn't sure what to expect upon our arrival for our stay at this home - the pictures shown are very pretty but in person it's so much more and magical. There were 8 in our group and this house slept all of us easily with room leftover. Michelle had stocked the house with the essentials to get you through until you could go shopping if you planned on cooking at the house which we did and took full advantage of the outside grill cooking steaks, scallops, etc. She even had a bottle of red wine on hand and extra charcoal delivered to us at no charge which shows she goes above and beyond. We enjoyed the outside Gazebo for our dinner and it was simply amazing and quite memorable having dinner with good friends under the sparkling lights and the whole garden area (especially at night) was like something out of a fairytale book. It was extremely helpful being close to everything so if you ran out of something you could simply walk half a block to get ice, beer, etc. and Cooter Browns Bar is also just half a block away which had great food. The streetcar was so fun to take to Bourbon Street or other very cool bars along the way (Blind Pelican being one) with everyone and extremely affordable - not to mention it is the longest of New Orleans' streetcar lines, the St. Charles Avenue line, is the oldest continuously operating street railway system in the world with it appears to be original cars. Thanks Michelle and to all of your staff for making amazing memories for my friends and myself. Would love to come back again."

  • Great Location

"Tanya was great - called her when we got close to NOLA and she said it was OK to check in early -- Apt was a very nice size, clean and cozy. (TV was rather small - so we watched the Super Bowl at the apt next door). We had a few hiccups however - there were not any dish towels -- had to use paper towels to wash and dry dishes, the water pressure isn't that great in the bathroom and the hair dryer provided did not work (our friends were staying in the other apt next door --so just borrowed that one and used the dishwasher for our heavy dish washing) - I did contact Tanya (she was out of the country) so Bill did send an email (which I was not checking on a regular basis being on vaca) So they do respond quickly to any needs you may have. The comforter on the bed could be replaced - the stuffing is all at the middle and end making it uncomfortable the bed itself was very comfy. This apt is NEAR EVERYTHING NOLA -- and with the new trolley on Rampart makes it convenient to get to the Garden District (St Charles St Trolley and Canal St Trolley) -- we only used our car on Race Day for the Rock N Roll -- other than that we walked literally everywhere we needed to go. And having a key pad to enter apt was very nice - no need to forget your keys!! Some great eats were: Port of Call (great burgers!) - Coops - Oceana Grill - Cornet - Mona Lisa -- we will be back to stay here again. - Thanks Tanya and Bill for a lovely stay."

  • Thoughtful and well-located

"Easy to access all neighborhoods. Parking was easy. House was well-appointed and had a personal feel. Beds were heavenly comfortable and the host was accessible and helpful. My party of 5 plus a pooch had a great time."

  • Great place

"We just got back from a fantastic trip to NOLA. We will definitely go back and we will stay at Mike's place again when we do. Location - awesome....quick walk to both Bourbon St and Frenchman but far enough that you can get some sleep though too. Host - Mike is a very nice guy, was happy to assist in anyway he could. The place - lots of space, clean and comfortable...a perfect crash pad. The pictures don't do it justice."
