  • Truely a Special Place!!

"I think I will remember this cottage fondly for years to come. I am not sure if photos can show how unique this home really is. The ceilings were higher than I expected and there were grand architectural features. My favorite part of the trip was listening to the local station Paul had programmed into the radio and watching the rain come down from the fabulous front porch. The front yard has a tropical feel, provides much needed shade, is a great place to people watch, and gather lemons. I like to get out and about in the town when on vacation but this rental made me inclined to stay in and get some R&R. Paul was very kind and informative. I just wish we could have stayed longer."

  • Fantastic Stay@Alanda's and Bob's Artist Penthouse

"We loved meeting Alanda and Bob and staying at their upstairs residence, which is full of light, art, a fully-stocked kitchen and a great living and entertaining space. It was the perfect location for our first NOLA, creole-style Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family. We will stay here again. High praises for Alanda and Bob and their wonderful hospitality. By the way, it's the best-ever location -- just a block from Magazine Street's retail and restaurants and several blocks from St. Charles and the street car. Evening wonderings always through some of the most splendid, historic homes. Thanks to the Bennets for offering this home to travelers like us. We will return FOR SURE!"

  • Wonderful little house! Lots of character

"Since I live only about 4 hours from New Orleans I visit there pretty often. Usually just for weekend trips and have always stayed in a hotel. This trip though we decide to change it up and rent a house. Best decision we could have every made. The neighborhood the house is in is pretty much in the middle of everything the french quarter has to offer. It is a good walk to get down to the lively part of bourbon street, but that was no big deal. The house itself had lots of charter and was adorable! I loved having a front porch to hangout on. that is honestly where we spent most of our time while we were at the house. Staying there was me and my boyfriend and another couple. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us! Now the only downside is that darn tub!!!!! It was very awkward because you are just out in the open in this bathroom lol. And there is a sprayer but that darn thing makes water go EVERYWHERE because there is only a tub no curtain or anything. We all did have lots of laughs though involving this tub ordeal. We made the best of it. Another thing is the sleeping nook is on the back side of the bathroom. So the set up goes master bedroom, bathroom, sleeping nook. So the people in the nook are the go back and forth though the main bedroom in order to go from their room to the main part of the house. Got a little old after 3 nights. But the tub and rooms were no deal breaks at all! The house is still amazing the best location. Met the neighbors of the house next door super sweet people!!! the trip was a success and the house was awesome!!!!"
