  • Great rental for a large group.

"Stayed here with a large group while in New Orleans for a conference. The condo was truly terrific. Location: About 5-10 minutes from Canal St. and the French Quarter. Very easy to get where you want to go! Even better, there are multiple restaurants and bars within a block or two, as well as a large grocery store. Beds: There is one queen bed downstairs in a master bedroom and three in an upstairs loft (2 twin and 1 full). There is also a full sized couch in the TV room as well as a love seat. Kitchen: There is a large mini fridge and a large freezer. Plenty of glassware, plates, and pans. We were here for about a week, and it was no problem cooking a few meals. There is also a gas grill outside in a beautiful courtyard that we did not end up having a chance to try. Bathrooms: 1 small bathroom off the kitchen and one large bathroom near the master bedroom. The large bathroom has frosted glass and a swinging door (no lock). Both have showers, in the large bathroom is a very large, luxurious shower with a rainfall shower head. Rest of the condo: Plenty of space, large dining room table, several TVs. Wifi was present, but fairly slow. The doors have code locks, so no key required, which was very convenient, especially with a large group. Spiral staircase to loft is a little tricky to navigate. Loft also heats up during the daytime, but multiple fans and AC kept this from being an issue. Owners: Very responsive and helpful. There was a small mix-up with the cleaning staff when we arrived, but this was immediately cleared up. Very accommodating regarding checking in early/late."

  • Truly Delightful!

"Mid-March through Mid-May, 2016, we lived in Dina's "Cute Hideaway" in Algiers Point -- and we loved it. We have 3 little dogs and made some special arrangements with Dina for their accommodation, but once we were settled in, had zero issues related to the pups. In fact, the neighbors took a shine to our dogs and liked to visit with us, (er...with the dogs!) for a while when they brought over our mail. We enjoyed getting to know both Holly and Jason. Algiers Point has got to be one of the quietest neighborhoods we have ever lived in. Besides the birds (which apparently sing around the clock) the most noise we heard was from the calliope on the Natchez steamboat, which moors directly across the Mississippi from Algiers. The ferry is within easy walking distance (about 2.5 blocks), runs on the hour from Algiers, and the quarter hour from the foot of Canal. It's two dollars each way which is a very small price to pay for essentially door to door transportation from the "Hideaway" to the French Quarter. We had our car with us as well, and so were able to drive whenever we wanted -- but keep in mind the rush hour traffic over the Mississippi bridge will set you back at least 30 minutes, so plan accordingly. During our stay the weather fluctuated from nippy -- in the 40's, to balmy/humid -- in the 80's, and we were truly delighted to have the central heating/cooling system keeping us comfortable. That's the sort of thing you take for granted, but believe me, having relied on, let's just say -- less than central HVAC in the past -- Dina's central HVAC rocks. We highly recommend Dina's "Hideaway." The neighborhood is safe, and quiet. It's really easy to take the ferry across to the Aquarium, River Walk, Quarter, and the foot of Canal. The neighbors are friendly. The HVAC works! And, Dina is responsive, generous, and flexible about "special needs." Stay here, you won't be sorry."

  • We love this condo!

"I've stayed in this condo before and I'll keep coming back. It's beautifully decorated, and supplied with everything you might need. The kitchen is a dream! The courtyard is gorgeous! Less than a block to the streetcar stop and just a few blocks to Magazine Street, where we spend most of our time. The more we stay here, the more we love NOLA. Absolutely perfect!"
