  • Cozy house in a great location

"I had 12 in my group for a bachelor party. Great experience from start to finish dealing with Jonathan. He is very responsive and shows genuine interest in making sure his guests are set up to have a great stay. His rules and check out procedures are very clearly explained and easy to follow. The house is very spacious and had enough beds/mattresses/couches for everyone to sleep comfortably. We loved hanging out on the porch. It was a great spot to people watch and enjoy a drink and listen to music for the times we were not out and about. You can walk to all the bars and restaurants and the Harrah's casino in French Quarter. I would definitely recommend this house for larger groups that want to be close to great restaurants and nightlife."

  • Wonderful Place with Wonderful Hosts!!

"I am originally from Louisiana, and grew up going to New Orleans. I now live in Texas, but try to get back to NOLA as much as possible. I had admired this property for a long time on VRBO, and finally got a chance to rent it about 4 years ago. I have been back to this property 3 times now, and will continue to rent it as long as it is available! The location is perfect for my purposes-close enough to the action of the Marigny and French Quarter, but not "all up in" that action. You will not be disturbed at night as you could be closer to Frenchman or Bourbon. The property itself is great. Clean and nicely decorated, with a great back patio and hot tub. I can't say enough about the hospitality of the property owners, Ron and Mark! They are just wonderful people. Very friendly and welcoming. It is very important to keep the money I spend in NOLA in the community, and Ron and Mark live right next door, so you will be supporting the local community by renting from them, instead of outsiders from other states who buy up properties in the neighborhood as vacation rentals to be managed outside the city. Please take this into account when you are researching other properties, as well. Keeping your vacation dollars local helps the city fight outside influences that often threaten the very soul of NOLA that we all cherish. Also, I have found on other vacations that renting from someone who is not local to your stay can pose problems should you have an issue with the property or need questions answered. To sum up- This is a wonderful property with wonderful hosts, and I it is my favorite place to stay while in the city! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

  • CT to NOLA

"We loved this house! It has all the charm we expected in NOLA and the six of us were amused day after day by the artwork and knicknacks in the home. It was very well equipped with umbrellas, kitchen equipment, great AC and two outdoor areas. The neighborhood couldn't be better-really safe and pretty too. The bathroom situation was a bit of a PITA but we got through it because everything else was so wonderful. Robin and her staff were extremely helpful from beginning to end. I will stay again for sure!"

  • Our oasis

"I will start with the pros we absolutley loved coming home to the little purple house after the hot and or rainy days in New Orleans. The hot tub ( warm actually) and pool were something to look forward to every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our little oasis for the week! It is very private. We loved Cake Cafe which is only three doors down! The shrimp omelet, muschroom gravy and biscuits, and $1 cupcaked with a meal. (The best being the wedding cake) were fantastic! It is a cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Yummy!!! There are several restaurants within walking distance, however several are pricey! The french quarter is within walking distance for most, however with my pain level it is not doable. Plus the heat can be totally overwhelming! The flowers in the area are beautiful! There are always beautiful birds and a couple of squirrels to take pictures of. We also had some pretty butterflies!! That said...the cons. The sheets were dirty. Not a huge deal for us since i have allergies and always bring our own. The house could use some tlc. There is no washer and dryer. There are tags everywhere, which in my opinion from being married to a cop, means gang activity. I do think they are beautifup in some cases, however i did have some issues with not feeling safe. Not necessarily, on the block, but within close vicinity. My love said he did. Definitely be aware of your surroundings. The parking situation is not favorable! Neither of us see any reason to return to the area. The oasis in the backyard was definitely both of our favorite thing!! New Orleans it's self was not!! We did enjoy the sno balls at Snow wizzard. He enjoyed food at Eat at Melbas and a few other places.. We liked the French Market. The tree of life in a park i can not remember waa amazing. Take time to walk out to it and look underneath. You have to use more than one setting on the camera to get good pics fyi. The New Orleans Park was great too! The sculpture garden was pretty cool!! I so looked forward to my cupcake at cake cafe every day!!! That i will miss!!!"
