  • Review For The Back Carriage House

"This review is for the small carriage house at the back of the property. I stayed recently with two other friends (three 40-50ish females total). You couldn't ask for a better location in the Quarter. This end is notably quieter and calmer--but still an easy stroll to all the excitement. There's a grocery store (Rouse's) just a few blocks down the street, fun bars, good food nearby, and lots of higher end shopping and art galleries right outside your door. You are also easy walking distance to Frenchmen Street, where lots of good music happens and where the locals go. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Randell, the driver that was arranged for us, was a great welcome to the city. He gave us lots of ideas of what to do and even texted during our stay to check on us and let us know some of the happenings in other neighborhoods. Ina, the property manager, was so sweet and helpful getting us settled in. She got us anything we needed right away (she lives right across the street) and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The carriage house is a small studio, but it was fine for the 3 of us ladies. There's a queen bed, comfy couch, small dining table, and a separate kitchen off the main room down a hallway. The kitchen is small with a mini fridge, but we managed to put together a couple of light meals and cocktails. While comfortable, the space could use some TLC. Yes, everything in New Orleans is old--and that's a large part of it's charm. But a fresh coat of paint, some fresh linens, and a new shower curtain would go a long way to make the space really shine. The outdoor courtyard is a great bonus. It's well away from the street with a lovely fountain to enjoy. Overall, we had a great stay!"

  • Christmas visit

"It was great! Close to everything, just a couple of blocks off of Frenchmen St. We didn't have to drive anywhere. We did uber if we went to the Canal Street area, but the Quarter is easily walkable. The unit has everything that you could need. Spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Frankie was really easy to work with. New Orleans is lovely anytime, but especially during the holidays. We will definitely return."

  • Amazing Stay, Amazing City, Amazing Hosts

"This stay was perfect! The trip was perfect. Mia and Kent were superb hosts. The house was so equipped, we didn't care for anything. My buddy and I both had delayed flights. We checked in pretty late in the evening, and we were still greeted warmly. The location is prime; close enough to everything yet, right outside of the French Quarters. Not only will we be coming back next year, it will be with Mia and Kent."
