  • Excellent Property

"I stayed here with a group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the property. The home is located within the Arts District which is a great area and allowed us to explore an area outside of the French Quarter. Multiple restaurants and bars are within walking distance (personal favorite was Carmo). You can also easily walk to the French Quarter from the house or take the streetcar. We walked to the French Quarter and Convention Center area multiple times and didn't have to depend on the streetcar or a car. The house was very spacious and it didn't feel crowded given our large group. Large living space and ample places to sleep (beds, pull out sofas, and a couch). House comes equipped with free wifi, tv with cable, and all the dishes and linens one would need. I loved the master bathroom and the outside space. I would definitely recommend staying here during your New Orleans stay."

  • Our oasis

"I will start with the pros we absolutley loved coming home to the little purple house after the hot and or rainy days in New Orleans. The hot tub ( warm actually) and pool were something to look forward to every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our little oasis for the week! It is very private. We loved Cake Cafe which is only three doors down! The shrimp omelet, muschroom gravy and biscuits, and $1 cupcaked with a meal. (The best being the wedding cake) were fantastic! It is a cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Yummy!!! There are several restaurants within walking distance, however several are pricey! The french quarter is within walking distance for most, however with my pain level it is not doable. Plus the heat can be totally overwhelming! The flowers in the area are beautiful! There are always beautiful birds and a couple of squirrels to take pictures of. We also had some pretty butterflies!! That said...the cons. The sheets were dirty. Not a huge deal for us since i have allergies and always bring our own. The house could use some tlc. There is no washer and dryer. There are tags everywhere, which in my opinion from being married to a cop, means gang activity. I do think they are beautifup in some cases, however i did have some issues with not feeling safe. Not necessarily, on the block, but within close vicinity. My love said he did. Definitely be aware of your surroundings. The parking situation is not favorable! Neither of us see any reason to return to the area. The oasis in the backyard was definitely both of our favorite thing!! New Orleans it's self was not!! We did enjoy the sno balls at Snow wizzard. He enjoyed food at Eat at Melbas and a few other places.. We liked the French Market. The tree of life in a park i can not remember waa amazing. Take time to walk out to it and look underneath. You have to use more than one setting on the camera to get good pics fyi. The New Orleans Park was great too! The sculpture garden was pretty cool!! I so looked forward to my cupcake at cake cafe every day!!! That i will miss!!!"

  • Wonderful place. Great location. Just right for 2 people for a weekend.

"This is a gem. Not luxurious, but quite nice, with all the necessary amenities. Clean as a whistle. Total privacy. Quiet except for the distant sound of the streetcar as it passes through the neighborhood, which was kind of ice, IMO. Plenty of towels. Washer/dryer came in handy. Full kitchen, and although we didn't cook, it looked like one could turn out a real meal there. The table inside is too small for more than 2, but there is a bigger table on the patio. Very comfortable bed. Lovely patio. Stunning neighborhood. Great location off St. Charles, easy walk to Magazine Street. We rented bikes for the stay from Mike's Bike shop on Magazine, which worked well, although Uber comes very fast, even on a Jazzfest weekend. We hope to return. My only comment would be that it could use some instructions on the TV (3 remotes!), AC (we couldn't find a thermostat and the AC on and off somewhat mysteriously and was a little too cold at times), and WIFI (we were slow to find the PW taped on the side of the fridge). Very minor issues."
