  • Not exactly home away from home....but it worked!

"The home owner was very nice and easy to work with regarding reservations and entry to the home. The location was in a nice neighborhood not to far from the French Quarters, convention center and Super dome, we were there for the Essence Festival. We used Lyft to get around the entire trip. Unfortunately due to construction of the neighborhood a couple of the Lyft drivers were turned around. The house is close to several nice restaurants a grocery store and a Walgreens. The pictures of the house are accurate, I think it needs a little updating but I guess it served its purpose however the picture of bathroom did not show much and upon our arrival the bathroom was not very clean, the toilet and tub were pretty nasty and the shower curtain and rod needs to be replaced. We decided to walk over to the nearby market and purchased air freshener, bleach and gloves and cleaned the bathroom. The kitchen was fairly clean but it appears that the previous guest left old ice and misc. items in the fridge and freezer (we cleaned that as well) the house lost points because we had to do the cleaning yet we were charged a cleaning fee up front also the TV didn't work and so we were stuck listening to an older model radio. I know we didn't vacation to watch TV but it would have been nice to catch the news. I suggest anyone staying there to take your own linens, pillows, sheets and etc. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, it was my first time renting a rental home and I will admit it's nothing like a 4 star hotel but we made it work for us! It was truly an experience. Thanks Sid!"

  • Better than expected

"This is the perfect condo conveniently tucked away in the middle of everything! I immediately fell in love with the little balcony! It's the perfect place to have your morning coffee and also perfect for enjoying wine in the evenings. It's a short walk to anywhere in the French Quarter. We had dinner and breakfast at the Oceana Grill, and also ate and had drinks at the Copper Monkey downstairs. (From our room, we could barely hear the music and people talking from the courtyard below. It wasn't a bother at all.) Very convenient location. I'm already looking forward to our next stay."

  • Southern Comfort

"Large, gorgeous home in a perfect location. Great kitchen, plenty of room upstairs and the two bathrooms were nice. Spent so much time on the front porch, coffee in the morning, wine in the evening. Really added to the New Orleans experience. Plus there was always a parking space out front."

  • Amazing Stay & Property

"This property is in a prime location; we were able to walk to everything. It was a perfect little studio apartment that had all the essentials for making us feel at home for the week. Staying in a home with such history was amazing! From the original hardwood floors to the original doors, it took me back into time imagining life in the 1800's when this building was erected. The owners were so nice with their suggestions on places to eat and see. The responses were so quick to my requests/questions. A return trip is in our future and we definitely will be booking this same location if it's available."
