  • Quiet, Quaint and Cozy!

"I will admit, I was never one to write reviews, but I have realized how helpful they are and to be honest now I hesitate to stay anywhere that does not have review! With that being said this property was very nice. The neighborhood was quiet, the house was so cute we loved every bit of our stay. The house has everything you need for your stay, it was like a home away from home. It was not far from the French Quarter and other places we chose to visit. The owners were very friendly and helpful....thanks guys! We would definitely stay here again, and hopefully it's soon! Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

  • Fantastic location, beautiful house!

"I rented the Napoleon house for 7 ladies to experience Mardi Gras from an uptown location. The house exceeded expectations! Mary Jean and Liz were wonderful, accomodating hosts! When I asked about a crockpot, Mary Jean put hers in the kitchen! We bought groceries before arrival which worked out very well, since we never had to use the cars. Parking behind the protective gate greatly eased my mind. Four members of our party had never been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. This was such a perfect way to introduce them to it. Several are already talking about future trips! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms had great hot water in the showers, and the washer/dryer even came in handy! The construction on Napoleon Ave. was not an issue. We were all able to watch the parades from across the street with many of our host's family and friends! Memorable moments that forever will make me smile! I highly recommend this property and the property owners! Thank you!"

  • A neat little cottage in the middle of everything!

"My husband and I met some friends from the UK for their first visit to New Orleans and this cottage was the perfect venue for us to catch up and to rest after a long day of sightseeing. The cottage had everything we could have needed and more, and was positioned within walking distance of many interesting restaurants and public transportation. I walked in the neighborhood every morning very early and never felt uncomfortable or afraid even though I passed many revelers still partying from the night before :) All part of New Orleans! Sidney, the house manager, was an absolute delight and gave us some great tips re where to eat etc. in addition to providing car service for us back to the airport. We had a delightful visit with our friends and all the little touches such as quality sheets and the Keurig coffee pot made for a very pleasant stay. Thank you Erin."

  • Not exactly home away from home....but it worked!

"The home owner was very nice and easy to work with regarding reservations and entry to the home. The location was in a nice neighborhood not to far from the French Quarters, convention center and Super dome, we were there for the Essence Festival. We used Lyft to get around the entire trip. Unfortunately due to construction of the neighborhood a couple of the Lyft drivers were turned around. The house is close to several nice restaurants a grocery store and a Walgreens. The pictures of the house are accurate, I think it needs a little updating but I guess it served its purpose however the picture of bathroom did not show much and upon our arrival the bathroom was not very clean, the toilet and tub were pretty nasty and the shower curtain and rod needs to be replaced. We decided to walk over to the nearby market and purchased air freshener, bleach and gloves and cleaned the bathroom. The kitchen was fairly clean but it appears that the previous guest left old ice and misc. items in the fridge and freezer (we cleaned that as well) the house lost points because we had to do the cleaning yet we were charged a cleaning fee up front also the TV didn't work and so we were stuck listening to an older model radio. I know we didn't vacation to watch TV but it would have been nice to catch the news. I suggest anyone staying there to take your own linens, pillows, sheets and etc. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, it was my first time renting a rental home and I will admit it's nothing like a 4 star hotel but we made it work for us! It was truly an experience. Thanks Sid!"
