  • Excellent Property

"I stayed here with a group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the property. The home is located within the Arts District which is a great area and allowed us to explore an area outside of the French Quarter. Multiple restaurants and bars are within walking distance (personal favorite was Carmo). You can also easily walk to the French Quarter from the house or take the streetcar. We walked to the French Quarter and Convention Center area multiple times and didn't have to depend on the streetcar or a car. The house was very spacious and it didn't feel crowded given our large group. Large living space and ample places to sleep (beds, pull out sofas, and a couch). House comes equipped with free wifi, tv with cable, and all the dishes and linens one would need. I loved the master bathroom and the outside space. I would definitely recommend staying here during your New Orleans stay."

  • Amazing House

"We loved the house, including the Halloween decorations. We would have enjoyed reading the history of the house. The house is in a great position/area; quiet; easy to get to the French Quarter; very close to Magazine St."

  • Not exactly home away from home....but it worked!

"The home owner was very nice and easy to work with regarding reservations and entry to the home. The location was in a nice neighborhood not to far from the French Quarters, convention center and Super dome, we were there for the Essence Festival. We used Lyft to get around the entire trip. Unfortunately due to construction of the neighborhood a couple of the Lyft drivers were turned around. The house is close to several nice restaurants a grocery store and a Walgreens. The pictures of the house are accurate, I think it needs a little updating but I guess it served its purpose however the picture of bathroom did not show much and upon our arrival the bathroom was not very clean, the toilet and tub were pretty nasty and the shower curtain and rod needs to be replaced. We decided to walk over to the nearby market and purchased air freshener, bleach and gloves and cleaned the bathroom. The kitchen was fairly clean but it appears that the previous guest left old ice and misc. items in the fridge and freezer (we cleaned that as well) the house lost points because we had to do the cleaning yet we were charged a cleaning fee up front also the TV didn't work and so we were stuck listening to an older model radio. I know we didn't vacation to watch TV but it would have been nice to catch the news. I suggest anyone staying there to take your own linens, pillows, sheets and etc. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, it was my first time renting a rental home and I will admit it's nothing like a 4 star hotel but we made it work for us! It was truly an experience. Thanks Sid!"

  • great location

"I would give this a higher rating if a few changes were made (replace old couch with a new one with a pullout bed, get rid of stained carpets, the large dinning table is a space hog and in the bedroom replace the old TV stand with a dresser). In response to previous reviews the TV and wi-fi were not working when we arrived but were fixed and working when we left on May 1st. I also left hangers in closet as there were none when I arrived. The location is great could not ask for better. Not too close to the touristy and loud Bourbon street crazyness and close to Frenchman street which has great venue and restaurants. I would highly recommend this place for a great time in NOLA. You can walk to anywhere in French Quarter and to street car for the ride to the Garden district. I would also recommend a vsit to City Park which is beautiful and huge - a hidden gem of the city. it is generally a quiet place and we never felt threaten as there is usually a lot of people walking around all times of the day; especially with the popular port of call restaurant across the street. PS the large bulky vacuum in the closet doesn't work (i tried to clean up before people came over); I would suggest get rid of it so there is more room ;-)"
