  • Quiet & Relaxing

"This cabin is rustic, clean, private, and oh so quiet. We spent a good part of each day at Acadia, but the kiddos loved being right along the water when we returned for so many reasons. Maryellen & Auggie were very helpful in answering questions about things to see and where to eat in the area. The times we were around for meals it was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen to cook in. Washer/dryer is also a nice bonus so we don't go home with a mountain of dirty laundry! You've thought of everything. Thank you for allowing us to stay!"

  • Comfortable and spacious cottage in a beautiful setting

"Great place to spend Thanksgiving with our family. The kitchen is very well stocked which made it easy to prepare our holiday meals. Great area for outdoor enthusiasts; we hiked every day despite the cold temperatures. The hosts were easy to communicate with and responded promptly to our request for assistance."

  • Great lake house - just 40 mins to Acadia!

"We loved our stay at the lake house! The cabin was very clean - although we would recommend a better broom/vacuum for quicker cleanup when checking out. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking utensils you could need. The views of the lake are beautiful - pictures don't do it justice! A few suggestions - larger tv for living room, more blankets - we used from other beds to stay warm and cozy on the couch. If possible, more living room furniture - it was perfectly fine for two people but when talking about coming back with friends or family we realized there would be a shortage of furniture for a movie night (GREAT movie selection by the way!). What we loved most about this house was its seclusion. But the neighboring properties are fairly close - one has multiple trailers and the other looks to be the start of another cabin being built. Luckily no one was home during our stay, and we're crossing our fingers for the same when we return. One last thing, we loved the convenience of a washer and dryer and having linens provided. In order to avoid a surcharge, you must wash all linens and towels before leaving. In theory, not a bad idea, but for the two of us (1 bed's linens, 2 blankets on bed, comforter, 2 extra blankets for couch, 2 bath towels = 4 loads of laundry) it took us past check out time (we started at 7am) to get all of the laundry done. Thankfully, we called the owners and they were fine with us staying past 11am to finish the laundry. Note to self: start laundry at 6am. If you use more than 1 bed...start at 5am! All in all it was a great house and we look forward to coming back again!"

  • Real 5 star holiday.

"Talley Cottage is the perfect place. A fantastic, clean, wonderfully equipped property situated in a stunning location right on the edge of a lake. The sunsets are magnificent! Surrounded by nature and beauty I would recommend this as a holiday destination to anyone wanting to get away from it all and yet be just up the road from everything! We hope we will be lucky enough to be able to return one day."
