  • Perfect Acadia Experience

"This was our first trip to Mount Desert Island and I could not think of a better place to stay. The cabin was rustic, cozy and very well stocked with all of the day to day essentials. And the location was perfect, nestled among the many trails and a very short drive (no more than 20 minutes max.) to Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia National Park. We stayed warm on the cool September evenings with the living room fireplace and master bedroom wood stove and the wood pile, like the rest of the cabin was well stocked! The view of Echo Lake was incredible and we took full advantage of our own private dock to kayak every day. Thank you to Claire for being extremely accommodating and for providing quick responses to our inquiries. This will be our preferred lodging for our next trip to MDI!"

  • Peaceful scenic area

"We find late September is an excellent time to visit the Maine coast, and this was a perfect location. Hiking in Schoodic Peninsula area of Acadia National Park was amazing with both old and newly created trails. The residence on Summer Harbor Road was very warm and inviting. The location was just outside the village which made for easy walking for shopping and meals when walking was the chosen mode of travel. A quiet, peaceful location well kept with plenty of interior room."

  • Castine is Amazing

"We stayed here for a week and it was fantastic. The house was very clean and comfortable and had a fantastic view from the front porch. We had everything we needed and the owners were very accommodating. We couldn't get the DVD player to function properly and they had replaced by the next day. Castine is a one of a kind town. Scenic and quiet with just enough to keep you busy. The car traffic is minimal and there is a wonderful 2 mile loop you can walk, jog, or bike on without worrying. The house was within walking distance to the grocery store and other restaurants in the quaint town. We loved it and plan to return next summer."
