  • Loved this little cabin!

"My husband and I have long wanted to explore the carriage roads of Acadia on our bikes. This fall we finally were able to do just that. This wonderful cabin was perfect for us. We loved the little sleeping cupboard, very cozy!! It took about 40 minutes to get to the park which was a comfortable distance. A few times we picked up sandwiches along the way. The cabin and the surrounding property was great for us and our dogs and fun to explore. We do enjoy sleeping in and were quite comfortable doing so, we never heard or were disturbed by dog barking. Since we have been home we have recommended this wonderful cabin to many people!! We definitely hope to return in the future."

  • Very nice and comfortable

"Completely supplied in all aspects. Cookware, spices, appliances, comfortable furniture, TVs, Kayaks, outside chairs, new grill, propane, awning for shade, games, etc... Bedrooms are small but didn't spend much time there. Too much to do. Great walks around the lake, kayaking to big jumping rock, floating on tubes. Very relaxing and easy to move right in. Extra beds for kids and family visiting. Recommend this place for anyone wanting a lot available and want move in ready feeling."

  • Even better than the photos indicate

"I can't add much to the favorable reviews others have submitted. If you are looking for privacy, natural beauty, a well-equipped home filled with thoughtful amenities, proximity to Ellsworth and Acadia, plenty of room for up to eight adults, ... then you can't find a better rental location. Here's a particular favorite - the house is about fifteen minutes from the Monteux School in Hanover, where talented young musicians present high-quality classical concerts on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. These are not to be missed!"

  • Heaven on earth

"We just returned from two magical weeks at Robin's Nest and miss it already. The cottage is clean and comfortable. It's not big but has everything we needed - comfortable beds, laundry, well equipped kitchen, big deck. But the real attraction here is the lake -- crystal clear, sand/gravel bottom, perfect for swimming, kayaking, floating on tubes. We even brought our sunfish sailboat and had some great sails. Many lake properties sit high up on a hill with long stairs or steep hills to get to the water. This house is nearly level with the lake with just a gentle slope; easy to enjoy for all ages and physical abilities and priceless views from the deck, the dock and the yard. We spent half our days enjoying the lake and half at Acadia/bar harbor, about 45 minutes away. Great family memories! We can't wait to return."
