  • Perfect Maine Getaway

"This cottage was an ideal size for the two of us and our dog. Having a private beach just steps from the house was absolutely the best part. We walked the shoreline during low tide, swam during hide tide, and had fires on the beach at night. Acadia National Park is only a 45 minute drive away and coming back after a long hike or a day in Bar Harbor to this peaceful setting was simply perfect. We grilled on the back deck most nights and the kitchen is stocked with any supplies you would need. Dee was very accommodating to us and prompt in her responses from the day we booked until the day we left!"

  • Oceanfront views, well-equipt kitchen, steam shower in master bath!

"This cottage was the perfect location for our family getaway. Cozy and secluded with breath taking views all day long. Walk down to the beach and pick mussels or head into Acadia for hiking paths and Sands Beach! We plan on coming back every year! This house and Bar Harbor were a little slice of heaven. Thanks for providing such a calming and relaxing space for us."

  • True Taste of Country

"This was our first visit to this part of Maine, and we fell in love with the whole Mount Desert Island area but especially with Acadia. We enjoyed the view from Cadillac Mountain, but especially loved getting up close and personal with the ocean, at Thunder Hole and at the tide pools at Wonderland. We went on an awesome whale-watching tour out of Bar Harbor and enjoyed walking around, soaking up the touristy atmosphere of the town. We also made a trip to Fort Knox and the Penobscot Observatory, both of which were impressive. Since we were only in the area for 3 days, we spent most of our time out and about, but what time we did have at the house was great - it had everything we needed except drinking water, which was easily remedied. The property is beautiful and there isn't a neighbor in sight, which was nice. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any wildlife around the house, just a woodpecker and other birds. There's an extensive collection of books of all sorts in the front hall for your reading pleasure, along with games and a few toys. The house was a comfortable temperature for the most part; the fans came in handy for making the bedrooms comfortable for sleeping. The new refrigerator is freaking awesome, and it was so handy to have a washer and dryer on site. We also really appreciated having a cooler and some already frozen "blue ice" we could borrow. On the downside, the downstairs shower didn't have much water pressure (I didn't try the upstairs one), and the water tends to smell a bit . . . cottage-y . . . but no big deal. It was a bit inconvenient not to have cell phone service, but the homeowners have made sure there is a landline available. Wi-fi wassn't working great for us - sometimes fast, sometimes slow, and sometimes not at all. Same with Netflix. Nothing that was a deal breaker, and we'd come back in a heartbeat to enjoy this taste of Maine country living and to be so conveniently located by Bar Harbor and Acadia."

  • Looking forward to our next visit!

"This was a wonderfully comfortable home for our family vacation. Very quiet and serene, yet close to everything in the area. I would definitely stay again on our next family visit to Bar Harbor."
