  • Welcoming and Private

"We stayed at this apartment 3 days, and felt welcomed by the atmosphere of the apartment but were definitely given our space. The best part were the little amenities that went above and beyond expectations (a bottle of home-collected maple syrup!). Priced right, and close to Acadia, this was the perfect spot to experience Maine."

  • A beautiful property

"This is my families 2nd year to have our Thanksgiving here and we love it. We come from NYC and Caribou Maine, Open kitchen, dining room and living room space gives everyone an opportunity to visit without walls. Plenty of windows on the front to enjoy the Pond view. Small playground for small children. 2 levels with bedrooms and additional family room on ground level. Very clean and neat. Wood stove in the living room area was perfect for November weather to add a little extra touch of warmth and holiday spirit. Owner is awesome to work with!"

  • This place is exactly as advertised. Nothing fancy but absolutely wonderful.

"Very quiet and really isolated from other homes in the area. Golf course convenient and the close to Bangor and good location to base out of for Acadia and other attractions in the area. Better yet it is a place to stay put and relax."

  • Everything you want for a memorable vacation experience

"We were so happy coming down the dirt road driveway to see how secluded and private the cottage is. When we first arrived at the house we were warmly greeted by the owner, Bob Jones which was a nice treat to get a quick tour of the house and tips on the lake and other local advise. But when we 1st walked in was the real unexpected treat. This house is amazing. Plenty of room with 2 screened bedrooms which was an amazing experience of feeling like you were sleeping outdoors but on a really comfortable bed. If that's not your thing there are 2 conventional bedrooms upstairs. 2 dining rooms, again, one screened in and one enclosed. Atriumed living room with all natural wood that still smells of fresh cut natural wood. Real outdoor cabin experience with the luxuries and comforts of home. In the outdoors area between the house and the lake there are 5 kayaks fun for the whole family, even my 9yo daughter had no problem getting to the island on the calm lake. A hammock. A fire pit. A large rock right on the lake which was my coffee spot in the morning and fIshing spot throughout the day. The lake was so clean and warm and has a great island close by where we swam, relaxed, fished and has a HUGE rock to sunbath on or jump off of into the lake(that's a lot of fun). Lots of things to do close by. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Fort Knox and bridge tower observatory. Great Maine Lumberjack show. But with this house you could have a great vacation staying in the whole time. Bob and Doris .......thank you you so much for opening your home to us. We often do vacation rentals but yours will be at the top of our list. This is a great memory of a true Maine vacation for my family."
