  • Very Relaxing

"Enjoyed the cottage and our relaxing time. Weather wasexceptional, really enjoyed watching the ducks out in the bay. It was chilly, but cottage had a fireplace kept us warm and cozy. Plenty to see and do in area, Schoodic Peninsula nearby and worth a few hours towatch"

  • Beautiful home and location.

"Cook's Cottage was a great place to stay for our family of 10. We loved the sitting room, as you have a terrific view of the harbor. Just a walk down the street to the ferry that takes you to Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is about an hour drive - more if traffic is heavy, but totally worth the drive. Do the whale and puffin watch in the morning. We saw two humpbacks breaching, and the puffins were adorable. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed."

  • The property was perfect!

"We had the best time staying at this "camp". It was perfectly set Back off the highway so you felt like you were deep in secluded woods. We walked the beach for hours every day and did not see people and found tons and sea glass and other treasures. Everything you need is provided at the camp! We cooked a lot of our meals and did not have to struggle to find any Utensil or pan necessary. We were not far from all the tourist attractions like Acadia national park and historic bar harbor. We were able to spend the day away from the camp and then have a short drive back to seclusion. There is no shortage of things to do though if you decide just to stay at the camp. We kayaked and spent lots of time just sitting on the deck enjoying the view. During low tide we found so many fun things that washed ashore and tons of creatures out and about. We saw a sea lion, deer, porcupine, and lots of birds. It was a perfect place for us! Bob and Stephanie have an amazing place and you can tell they love to share it with others and it shows in all the extras they provide like the Maine jams and syrup they left for us to sample."

  • Perfect location

"A facility that has everything for a comfortable stay. Location is perfect for hiking and relaxing. Beware there is no air-conditioning so visiting in summer could be a bit toasty. Enjoy your stay."
