  • Beautiful House in Bar Harbor

"This place is right in Bar Harbor, just off the main street. It is quiet because it is a couple blocks from down town, but close enough we walked everywhere. The house is lovely, well kept and is completely furnished, especially the kitchen. Everything we needed was there. There was storage out back for our bikes and places to store our kayaks. The porch out back is in a garden setting and was an enjoyable place to sit and plan our days. Our host even provided some items for our granddaughter, making my daughters trip easier not having to bring the crib and other large items. Our host was lovely and provided lots of suggestions and advise whenever we asked. I will rent this house again when we go back, a week was not long enough time to spend in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Forest."

  • Beautiful home away from home!

"We are a family of five (kids ages 8,11,12) who just left this wonderful heaven on earth and we are here to say that there really is no reason to look any further than Robin's egg!! The home is beautiful, with the most comfortable beds and is immaculately clean. The private rocky beach that leads to the beautiful Frenchman's Bay is a scene out of a magazine. The kids spent hours hanging out on the beach, and our entire family canoed during sunset almost each night. We were so comfortable in the house that we ate all breakfasts at home AND all dinners at home. The grill came in handy, and the picnic table on the deck allowed us to enjoy a lobster bake while enjoying magnificent views! It was so nice to come back from a day of hiking to relax in this home away from home. The location is wonderful - literally 5 minutes from the entrance into Acadia National park, and 10 minutes from the town of Bat Harbor. No need to look any further - book it before someone else does!! Thanks Robin for everything ... This was a vacation we will never forget!!"

  • A Great Vacation Home

"Our group of four empty-nester couples had a wonderful time at this property. The home is beautifully appointed. The backyard patios, including the one at the ocean's edge, are spectacular. Wildlife was in plain view, including several deer, a porcupine and several types of birds. There was plenty of room to spread out, relax and enjoy life. The property is on a secluded, treed, private road with easy, quick access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The property owner was great to work with, very gracious and ready to assist with anything to make our stay even more enjoyable. This is great living!"

  • Women celebrating 60 years!

"As a group of women all turning 60 this year we wanted a memorable vacation; we started in Boston and finished the last few days at the Orchard House. We loved the home's layout, the large, bright bedrooms and amenities included. The kitchen was great as a few in the group love to cook-the large dining room table worked well for dinner and card games. The mix of art and pictures in the home are interesting and fun. The home is secluded yet accessible to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Trish was an attentive host throughout the booking process and on our arrival. If you have a large group/family and want to be near the attractions on Mt. Desert Island, stay here!"
