  • A great place for a big group to stay in style!

"If you have enough people to fill such a large property, the Bayview is a great place for a getaway to Bar Harbor. Within walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor and the waterfront, there is plenty to see and do. The property itself is beautiful, with a nice big yard, spacious back porch with a grill and a fire pit. Onsite laundry facilities, a pool table, TVs with DVD and a baby grand piano are nice features as well. The kitchen and other common areas of the house are large enough for your whole group to hang out together, while most of the bedrooms are also comfortable and spacious enough to allow individuals alone time as well. One wing with three bedrooms with twin beds is perfect for kids, though may be disappointing to adults, as compared with the other six bedrooms, all of which feature larger beds and private bathrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bayview was a perfect option for our group of 18, which included kids, adults, and senior citizens. Highly recommended!"

"We arrived to find a cozy cottage with everything you could possibly need for a perfect vacation, there were clean, neat comfortable bedrooms, a kitchen stocked with staples for cooking, nice flat screen TV's for a cold rainy day, blankets on each couch to cuddle up and so much more! The host of this house offers you so much great information to help you get the most out of your stay. We visited Acadia National Park, Cadillac mountain, so beautiful! Bar Harbor, great restaurants, walked the sandbar for shells and wildlife as well as a whale watching excursion. There is a beach 3 minutes down the hill from the cottage with the best view, this cottage is the perfect location. I think we ate lobster and blueberry pie 3 meals a day and never got tired of it! This was a great family vacation with lots to do and such friendly locals, Thanks!"

  • A wonderful gem!

"A lovely home in the heart of Bar Harbor. Very well appointed and comfortable. We were a party of seven across three generations and everyone had plenty of space. The location was perfect - a short walk to shops and restaurants plus a large grocery store right around the corner. Acadia is just a few minutes drive but there are easy hikes within walking distance. We traveled over thanksgiving and the weather was mild for the season but definitely chilly so we appreciated the central heating and cozy beds. Much of the area is closed for the season so we didn't get to enjoy some of the typical summer touristy things (whale watching and fishing) but there was still plenty to do. The owners were very helpful and responsive with our questions and had great recommendations for things to do. Overall a lovely part of the country. We'll be back!"

  • Great Fall get away

"This property was perfect for us! We were three couples, high school friends, who traveled to Maine to experience the Fall colors and eat some great Maine lobster. We had a terrific time and the house was great. It had everything we needed to make this trip comfortable and so much fun. It was nice to be close to Bar Harbor but still a bit off the beaten path-or Less Traveled road. Entrance to Acadia National Park was very close as well. From the house there is a great path you can walk to an inlet for bird watching and terrific pictures. Thanks Ben and Joan! We would definitely rent this house again."
