  • This home was perfect

"It was the first time that I brought my family to Mount Desert Island and we could not have asked for more. First, the location was great. I originally thought that we should stay in Bar Harbor but I was so much happier that we stayed on the "quiet side". It turned out that things are close (for me as I do drive places for work) enough and it is great to be able to retreat when you have had enough. Nothing is too far and the serenity of the property as was as the amenities made it feel like home. We were able to cook and had everything you could want. The beds were comfortable. My father tried to track down what pillow was there because he thought he slept better than he ever had. The home was clean and comfortable and I would enjoy staying there again."

  • Great time and wonderful people.

"The wife and I had a great time and could not have asked for anything more. The apartment suited our needs well. The location is a very good reason to pick this apartment. We walked through town several times a day to eat and enjoy all the other treats that Bar Harbor had to offer. Acadia was breath taking and that time of year was very nice for our stay. We happen to meet the owners and they were just awesome. We took our very small dog and that also went well. There are comments about the shower and though the roof slopes it was fine for us. I'm 5'10". This was one of my favorite vacations and I did not want to leave. There was so much to do and see."

  • Convenient and nicely equipped with supplies

"We had a very pleasant stay on Snow Street. The home is located just outside the village in a quiet residential neighborhood. The village and shore path are easily walkable from the residence. Everything that you need for a comfortable stay are provided by Herb, i.e., sheets, towels, fully equipped kitchen, etc. The cottage is very charming, which I would describe as a 1940-1950's style home that has retained a lot of its old charm. Going to take our last stroll on the shore path before we leave."

  • It was a cozy apartment, nicely spacious inside for a family of 6-8 people

"We came. Information was clear. The house is right next to the downtown. Some construction next to the house, but no problem because of private parking, which seems to be not common in the neighborhood. Nice place for 2 vans. The Pizzeria next door is amazing. They had nice puzzle sets which kids spent evenings working on instead of watching TV. TV didn't work, but never bothered to look into it, because kids were happy with other things to do and we didn't want to have TV. Entire week with no TV is amazing! It is convenient to Acadia. 5 mins from Cadillac mountain entrance (2 miles) and we were there for sunrise 3 times during our 6 days. Would highly recommend for families with young children."
