  • AWESOME HOUSE

"Just got back from a week at this house. House was immaculate and very comfortable. It's on the quiet side of MDI which was nice. Only about a 20minute drive to bar harbor. Was well stocked with all the necessities. Would definitely recommend! Great communication with management(Greg)"

  • Wonderful views of the harbor and great host and hostess!

"My husband and I stated for 4 nights on a trip to Acadia. The room was immaculately clean and the bed very comfy. Best is the views out the large picture window of the apartment. Or sit and enjoy the view from the Adirondack chairs right on the beach. I spent most mornings enjoying the lobster boats going out of the harbor and watching the harbor seal and a few porpoises swim around. Great location (on the quiet side of town), wonderful views, great accommodations and even better hosts. We will certainly be returning! Andrew and Diane also recommended a great stops on our way down to Portland. They certainly didn't disappoint! They are truly amazing hosts!"

  • Enjoyable Cottage Near Working Harbor

"My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at this cottage. It is perfect for two people looking for a home base to virtually anywhere on Mt. Desert Island. The kitchen was very well equipped with anything a traveler may need (the coffee filters were particularly appreciated). We found the patio to be quite lovely in the morning and a nice way to rest weary legs at the end of the day. A few items that are important to note for future visitors. First, the cottage is on Rt. 102, which means there is some car noise from 6:00 am until early evening. Rt. 102 has a limited shoulder and is not suitable for safe running/walking, in my opinion. Second, the bedroom faces east, making it rather bright in the morning even with a shade and blinds. The final point is not related to the cottage though worth noting. Bass Harbor is remotely located relative to the rest of the island. Southwest Harbor is less than 5 minutes away, but Bar Harbor can be as much as 45 minutes with traffic. Overall, a great place for a couple looking to get away from it all and take in the pleasures of the quiet side (be sure to go over to Seawall with a bottle of wine and some cheese, it's totally legal!)."

  • Perfect Getaway

"My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at Ebb Tide for 5 days after a very hectic trip to Canada. It was the perfect place to wind down. Close enough to Acadia National Park for lots of beautiful sight seeing, hiking and exploring, yet remote and secluded enough for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful coast of Maine. There also were several good restaurants very close by serving very fresh and delicious local seafood and other great choices. Watching the tide come and go, and the sunrises and sunsets from inside or out was incredibly beautiful. The house and surrounding gardens were lovely and inviting. The owners, Shelley and Larry, were great! They couldn't have been more helpful and responsive to any of our questions or needs. We highly recommend this beautiful home for a perfect getaway ."
