  • Well-appointed getaway on the quiet side.

"We had a lovely stay at Seamist. Robin is an amazing host, and she patiently answered many questions, always very quickly. The home is very comfortable, and we enjoyed evenings on the couch with the fireplace going. There were just two of us, plus our little Italian greyhound. We rented the home because we needed a well appointed kitchen, and we got that in spades. Robin has thought of everything. It is also very nice that the home is stocked with basic supplies such as foil, plastic wrap, detergent, and tissues. The house was spotless, and it also had a good supply of books and other information about the area. We were very fortunate with the weather, arriving at peak color season. Acadia National Park was just spectacular! After leaving I realized that I had left three scarves in the closet, and Robin shipped them back to me the next day. I can't recommend Seamist and its extremely accommodating owners highly enough. We would definitely recommend this home to friends and family, and we hope to have a chance to return in the future."

  • One of best vacations ever!

"We loved Acadia National Park! Seamist Cottage was a great home base for us. It's very close to Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, Wonder Land, and Ship Harbor so you can do easy, beautiful hikes with very little driving. The 30 minute drive to the main part of Acadia National Park was not bad at all - we did it most days. It was so nice to return to our cozy, quiet cottage which was equipped with everything we needed. Robin was very quick to respond to any questions or requests. We would recommend Seamist without reservation, and hope to return someday."

  • The best place to stay in Acadia NP!

"We were so extremely lucky to find this place. Wonderfully equipped, tastefully decorated, perfect location on the water, on the quiet side of Acadia which is a huge plus! And near the most beautiful walks and hikes! The owners were amazing, gave us all tips needed to make our get away unforgettable. Don t miss this and if you happen to be there like us around mid october, the fall foliage is simply the most beautiful we have ever seen! Thanks for all."

  • Cozy and comfortable

"My wife and I were delighted to find this cozy and clean upstairs apartment for our first trip to Maine and the Acadia National Park area. With two bedrooms and baths, and a spacious kitchen, dining, living room area, this was the perfect retreat at the end of each of our fun filled days. The queen sized beds were very comfortable. We were surrounded by the beautiful Maine mountains, Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse was just a few miles away, Acadia National Park was an easy drive, there were several hikes along the bay within a couple of miles, and when we wanted to eat out it was a 1/2 mile walk or drive to Thurston's, where we could watch lobstermen unload freshly caught lobster while we ate their spectacular lobster rolls and haddock chowder fresh from the sea. Thanks Carlton and Kathy. We will be back! Jerry and Deborah, Carrollton, GA"
