  • Eden Rock, Rocks!

"If you are looking for a fabulous place to stay while exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Maine look no further than Eden Rock! We would give Eden Rock our highest ratings in all categories that are important for your pleasure and convenience! Eden Rock is a beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean home. All amenities that you would expect, and more, are there! The open design of the gourmet kitchen, the dining room with entrance to the upper porch, with an amazing view of the water,, and cozy family room with fireplace, is perfect for socializing. The nautical decor adds to the ambiance of this home, which is in perfect condition throughout! In addition, the outdoor view is amazing day or night! Make sure to enjoy the sunrises there! And watch for the bald eagle that visits the property! Eden Rock is located very close to the entrance to Acadia National Park. And it's only a short distance to the restaurants, history, shopping, excitement and fun activities of Bar Harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Eden Rock, made wonderful memories, and have beautiful photos to remind us of a very special time with our family. In fact, we plan to stay there again this coming year!"

  • Clean, comfortable

"We loved the peaceful atmosphere in Hummingbird Suites. You can hear the highway outside but it didn't seem to keep us up at night. The suites was very clean, cutely decorated, and had all supplies necessary for us to cook every meal there. We were able to book on short notice and after seeing the rest of Bar Harbor, decided we would rather stay here than anywhere else- it was a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle. Even in wintertime, this was a pleasant experience."

  • Wonderful birthday week!

"What a wonderful place to spend my 60th birthday with my family. ! We had gorgeous weather and when we were not out adventuring on the island we were on the deck. The deck was our evening meeting place and allowed us to look out over the yard where the grandchildren and adults were playing. The large room on the back of the house fit us all when we had a family sing along! It was in close proximity to Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor, as well as just a 10 min walk to Hulls Cove to collect "treasures". Would rent it again in a heartbeat!"

  • Tops in Convenience

"I enjoyed my stay. The home was fairly close to downtown Bar Harbor (close enough where I always walked) and within a 1/2 mile or so of a full service supermarket. The rooms were roomy and the unit was clean and well equipped. They had guidebooks, some of which they wrote that were especially handy and useful. They even had a full two car garage with a washing machine that my miniature car fit comfortably into (the garage, not the washing machine). A few things to keep in mind. They warn you there are stairs. One enters through the garage and in the daytime and when only carrying a camera and the spooky house key, it isn't any big deal. However, they were a little steeper and the steps smaller than what I was used to. Also a bit tricky in the dark, although I eventually found the light switches behind the shelves in the living room by the door. Truly it wasn't a big deal, but hauling up a suitcase one needs to be careful. There is only one bathroom which was very handy when in the kitchen or downstairs, but it isn't on the same floor as the bedrooms. Bathroom was fine, clean, sized fine etc., but not close to the bed. There are two bedrooms, both upstairs, and their layout could be really ideal, or not so much, depending on your circumstances. They look like they were at one time one room where a wall was added (and a door). So for a couple with small children would probably find it ideal. However, for two couples it might lack enough privacy. One couple is going to have to walk through the bedroom of the other couple to use the "facilities" downstairs. I was by myself, so I found it to be fine. I only used the main bedroom and it was quite roomy and the bed was very comfortable. My comments are mostly quibbles. I enjoyed my stay and would certainly not hesitate to stay there again."
