  • It was a cozy apartment, nicely spacious inside for a family of 6-8 people

"We came. Information was clear. The house is right next to the downtown. Some construction next to the house, but no problem because of private parking, which seems to be not common in the neighborhood. Nice place for 2 vans. The Pizzeria next door is amazing. They had nice puzzle sets which kids spent evenings working on instead of watching TV. TV didn't work, but never bothered to look into it, because kids were happy with other things to do and we didn't want to have TV. Entire week with no TV is amazing! It is convenient to Acadia. 5 mins from Cadillac mountain entrance (2 miles) and we were there for sunrise 3 times during our 6 days. Would highly recommend for families with young children."

  • Four Winds

"The cottage, Four Winds, is on the point of a peninsula just north of Southwest Harbor. It is a beautiful spot with its own beach and private dock. The house is roomy, clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The three front upstairs bedrooms open out to a large deck with lounge chairs and a hammock. Our family has enjoyed a vacation here for the last two years. We just loved taking the youngest kids on sea glass hunts on the rocky beach and watching the older kids of all ages swimming and fishing for crabs off the dock. We all enjoyed our meals on the patio while drinking in the peaceful views of the ocean with boats sailing by. Four Winds is a little piece of heaven tucked away on Mt. Dessert Island!"

  • Great place to stay for Acadia and Bar Harbor!

"Loved this family home. Two ovens, plenty of books, a grill with charcoal, great for dining at home. Beach towels for Sand Beach, loads of books, nice deck, beautiful flowers. Fans in every room, slept with windows open. Close to everything in Acadia National Park. 10 minutes to Bar Harbor. We would stay here again. Our family of four spent the first night cramped in a harbor side hotel in Bar Harbor. This place was terrific got our family to spread out. Tracy was very easy to work with and accommodated our change on dates due to a work conflict."

  • HOME away from home!

"Rocco's Cottage was much nicer than it was shown on line! It was clean, convenient, well-appointed and a pleasure to live in for a relaxing week. All things Bar Harbor were within a short walk from the cottage and its "set back" location provided maximum privacy. I brought my two dogs and felt like they were the only two pets ever inside the house because it was so clean! Lisa and Rick are REAL folks with a common-sense, friendly New England approach to everyone and everything. They are a gentle presence if needed and invisible if not. I felt completely at home -TRULY at home in their cottage because they provided everything you could ever need or want while away from home. I will return to Rocko's cottage because this was one of my best vacations, EVER!"
