  • Love the authenticity

"We loved our stay. The home is large and spacious. It has lots of room for large families. It has a great kitchen to cook in and all the amenities needed. It has a pretty water view and is quiet with easy road access. We were able to obtain fresh lobsters from the pier in Friendship. Friendship is so pretty. We were able to go to the botanical gardens in Booth Bay for a spectacular show. Our children loved that. We also were able to do some snow tubing. Maine is fun in summer and winter. Claire is a great communicator and answered all our questions. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Oh I forgot the Russian stove is cozy."

  • Exceeded expectations

"The area had a lot to offer with hiking, boating and fishing. The house had everything that we needed for the week that we stayed there and just as pictured online.. Shopping and dining were easily reached by being only a few miles from the house, especially Ninety-Nine restaurant and Belgrade Seafood for lobster rolls and Day's Store for fresh-steamed lobster.. Nighttime breezes along with visits from the loons made for enjoyable evenings. This was our first time staying in the Belgrades region and we will probably be coming back in the future."

  • Terrific cozy cottage perfect for our family of 4

"We chose this cottage based on its location to several of the attractions and towns we wanted to visit. We are from Virginia so we wanted to have a home base in Maine while we could explore but we also needed a place that supplied linens, towels, and a furnished kitchen. We wanted to be off of the beaten path not in a camp ground. This cottage offered privacy and plenty to do. Our children are (9 & 10) and enjoyed the use of the kayaks around the pond as did we. There were a great selection and amount of supplied life vests. They were able to explore in the water and the land (small beach and woods). The screened in porch was one of our favorite places - eating, reading, and game playing. Even when it rained, we sat outside not getting wet. We had brought a few of our favorite games from home but we found there were tons of games to choose from already at the cottage. The kitchen was small but totally usable. We would eat a later lunch out exploring then come home and eat a light dinner on the porch. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The local grocery store was about 15 minutes away (if that) and there were several farm stands close by. I would and have already recommended this cottage to friends and family. I hope to be able to go back again!"
