  • Nature at its finest ... with creature comforts

"Tucked into the side of a peaceful, wooded peninsula jutting out into tranquil Sandy Pond, this well loved and impeccably maintained cabin provided a perfect Maine retreat. Highlights included: Strolling to 'the Point' and sipping morning coffee as the eagles soared effortlessly above. Swimming in the pristine, refreshing lake water and drying off on the massive, sun-warmed boulders. Exploring the unique corners of the lake by kayak in the morning calm ... and by sparkling moonlight. Biking the scenic and rolling country roads. Relaxing in the hot tub while entertained by near constant activity at the perfectly located bird feeder. Gathering fantastic local farm produce and seafood during sightseeing trips to the coast and nearby villages. Reading by the flickering fireplace on a rainy afternoon. Toasting amazingly beautiful and ever-changing sunsets at 'the Point'. Eating simple dinners on the enclosed summer porch with the surrounding treetops subtly and beautifully lit. Falling asleep to rustle of the breeze through the trees and the periodic call of the resident loons. The cabin was as attractive, comfortable and efficient as described by the owner, Paul, and other reviewers. Monica, the cabin manager, was very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend this property to those seeking a perfect mix of pristine lakeside nature and country living close to wonderful sight seeing on the Maine coast. We hope to return someday!"

  • All the modern amenities with a rustic charm!

"Very clean and comfortable! Came up from Florida with 6 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room! Kids loved playing outside and going down to the lake. It was hotter than we expected and we were thrilled there was air conditioning. Some of us had work obligations and the wifi worked great. There was even satellite tv which was great for the start of football season! All of these luxuries yet we were still in a log cabin down a dirt road in the middle of the woods and able to disconnect and enjoy nature and family. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Would definitely stay again!"

  • Lakefront Bliss

"Our time at The Lodge was the just what we needed: pure heaven. The weather was fantastic and the lake was warm. We enjoyed the house and all it has to offer. From early morning SUP to family dinners- our experience was magical. Thanks to Chap and Kim for another magical Maine summer vacation."

  • Awesome Fall trip

"This place is just beautiful-the house, the furnishings, the landscaping, the fabulous view, and, of course, Pam (who was only a text away)! Everyday was filled with beautiful fall foliage to view and great sights to visit that were relatively close to this centrally placed location. Highly recommend scenic view in Boothbay on 96. Stunning! Cellar door winery is worth a trip ( or two). There were 3 couples and the place suited us so well. Every bedroom had its own bathroom and the downstairs was a great place to spread out if needed for TV or game playing. Lots of wonderful memories!"
