  • Fantastic

"This is the best place that I have stayed especially in a home. Everything is provided that you would ever want. It was so serene and beautiful. The owners are wonderful and very helpful as well."

  • Peaceful cozy cabin on a beautiful pond (lake).

"Exactly what we were expecting. Comfortable, charming. Carol and Horace are wonderful hosts. Would stay here again. Loved renting kayaks from The Activity Center out of Blue Hill. Just call them up and they will deliver and pick up the kayaks at a very reasonable price. Loved the chatty loons at dusk and into the evening."

  • Amazing Vacation

"We have been visiting Maine for over 40 years and have never had such a wonderful experience as we had in vacationing in this home. It is a beautiful log cabin in brand new condition with wonderful sunset views over the lake. Gary has provided everything you would want in a lake house and responded in a timely manner to any questions we had. Great for entertaining family & friends. Wish I could have provided a 10 star rating."

  • Everything you want for a memorable vacation experience

"We were so happy coming down the dirt road driveway to see how secluded and private the cottage is. When we first arrived at the house we were warmly greeted by the owner, Bob Jones which was a nice treat to get a quick tour of the house and tips on the lake and other local advise. But when we 1st walked in was the real unexpected treat. This house is amazing. Plenty of room with 2 screened bedrooms which was an amazing experience of feeling like you were sleeping outdoors but on a really comfortable bed. If that's not your thing there are 2 conventional bedrooms upstairs. 2 dining rooms, again, one screened in and one enclosed. Atriumed living room with all natural wood that still smells of fresh cut natural wood. Real outdoor cabin experience with the luxuries and comforts of home. In the outdoors area between the house and the lake there are 5 kayaks fun for the whole family, even my 9yo daughter had no problem getting to the island on the calm lake. A hammock. A fire pit. A large rock right on the lake which was my coffee spot in the morning and fIshing spot throughout the day. The lake was so clean and warm and has a great island close by where we swam, relaxed, fished and has a HUGE rock to sunbath on or jump off of into the lake(that's a lot of fun). Lots of things to do close by. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Fort Knox and bridge tower observatory. Great Maine Lumberjack show. But with this house you could have a great vacation staying in the whole time. Bob and Doris .......thank you you so much for opening your home to us. We often do vacation rentals but yours will be at the top of our list. This is a great memory of a true Maine vacation for my family."
