  • Wonderful accommodations in a perfect setting.

"We brought 6 grandchildren to this central location to give them a trip of a lifetime. The cottage and lake provided all of us with comfort and convenience through the 5 day stay. The children looked excitedly forward to the lake for swimming and paddle boating to bring each exciting day to and end. Violette's Landing provided a beautiful and relaxing view of the day, sunrise to sunset. Thanks to Paul for making this vacation even more special with the accommodations! • Wonderful find in our favorite Maine town!

"An absolutely beautiful property that exceeded our expectations. We've vacationed near Belfast Maine for several years, but this was the first rental at this cottage. It is immaculate and delightfully decorated. Air conditioning was a great plus, especially during this extended hot spell we've been having in the northeast. The view was wonderful, and a few steps away was the footbridge which we had never walked over during our vacation stays elsewhere. Belfast is a great town with a great vibe. People are friendly, stores are interesting, restaurants offer variety, and since it's not right on route 1, it's a bit quieter with a hometown feel without the hustle and bustle of towns such as Camden and Rockland. They are wonderful too, but it's great to get "home" to Belfast after a day trip to other places in midcoast Maine. We like to shop in Hannaford and also in the Belfast Coop. At the location of the former Weathervane restaurant which was closed last year, we were pleased to see the Nautilus, formerly a bit further north on route 1. So glad to see this great spot occupied with a very nice restaurant! We also really like dining on the deck at Dockside; enjoying creative vegetarian food at Chase's Daily; and the delicious lobster pad thai at Seng Thai! Dennis was completely responsive to any questions we had. Can't wait to come back next year!"

  • Fabulous experience!

"This property exceeded our expectations!!! It is spacious but cozy, comfortable and very well organized for guests. Situated on a lovely lake - beautiful scenery. House was clean, quiet, and provided just about everything. Worth every penny. Most days we explored the area either by kayak, bicycling or walking and got to see plenty of wildlife each time. We also did Acadia Park, Schoodic Peninsula and Blue Hills trips - great experience. This is a fantastic place for a relaxing time in a wonderful peaceful location and we would without hesitation recommend it! Great place to stay"

  • Great cabin on a beautiful lake!

"-Great deck and dock space. -kayaks and canoe on site were a bonus. -Would recommend renting the bunkhouse if you want separate sleeping quarters since the 3 beds in the main cabin are only separated by a curtain. -Owners are very responsive and keep the cabin well stocked."
