  • Wonderful!!!

"Can't say enough good things about the Chickadee Suite! We were celebrating our anniversary and stayed for two nights, and would have loved to stay longer. It's lovely; tastefully decorated, comfortable in every respect, homey, and practical with its fully equipped kitchen and renovated bath/laundry room. From the back porch we could see Cadillac Mountain by day and millions of stars by night; just beautiful. We were there during the first week in October, and many plants in the pretty hummingbird garden out front were still in bloom. We didn't meet Kevin, but Donna was very nice. She greeted us on our arrival and suggested some things to do and a nearby restaurant, the Chart Room, which was excellent for dinner. There was a little daytime road noise outside from busy Route 3, but inside the suite it was very quiet and serene, and we heard nothing at night. Many thanks to Donna and Kevin for providing such pleasant lodging! We thoroughly enjoyed our short time in the Chickadee Suite, and will definitely try to stay there again next time we're in the area."

  • Can't wait to go back!

"Our family of four (our two daughters ages 11 and 13, my husband and me) spent a week here in June 2016 - the Knollette and Mount Desert Island are HEAVEN! This cottage was perfect for us. Wonderful space for our breakfasts and dinners, complete with charcoal grill and firepit in the backyard. Very private but with easy access to everything. We loved morning walks to the causeway down the street, went in to some part of Acadia Park every day, and the cottage is a pretty short walk to downtown Southwest Harbor and about a 20-minute drive to Bar Harbor. The Knollette has everything we needed for our week - washer/dryer, card-playing space, big windows of the yard and surrounding woods to see the deer, coffeemaker and great beds. In Acadia we recommend hiking Gorham and Champlain Mountains, spending plenty of time atop Cadillac, Jordan Pond Trail and biking the carriage roads. Eat lots of ice cream at the Quietside Cafe and MDI Ice Cream. The Knollette made our trip a total hit because of it's amenities, peace and location. The owner is very responsive and was VERY accommodating; we even got to meet him during our stay. We will be back! Hoping for TWO weeks next time!"

  • Wonderful!!

"The cabin was beautiful, clean and well maintained. It sits on a gorgeous bay. The woods are quiet and peaceful. The property is exactly as advertised and is convenient to Bay Harbor and Acadia but enough off the beaten path that you can enjoy the solitude. We loved it!! Highly recommend!!!"
