  • Great relaxing vacation in Maine

"This was our first trip to Maine and we loved it! The A-frame cabin has everything you need for a great stay. Clean, comfortable bed, and great views. Sunrises are spectacular. Kitchen is well equipped and everything is there to prepare whole Maine lobster or any other meal of your choice. This is for guests who appreciate the great outdoors and want to get away from the city. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are less than an hour away. Local lobster fisherman work their traps in front of the cabin, and you can purchase live lobsters from local fishermen for $5.25-$9.00 a pound. Twelve foot tides change the scenery everyday. We plan to return again next year. Scott is helpful and knowledgeable of the area. He can share more ideas of what to see and do than what you can accomplish in one week."

  • History, a working harbor, and "home"

"For the fourth straight summer, I returned to what is no doubt the best house to rent in the serene tranquility that is Corea, Me. My new dog and I settled in for an extended stay and, as always, found everything we would need available in this wonderfully restored 1860 Young Family Farmhouse. The sunset views from either the living room or outside on the covered back porch are unparalleled and the sweeping view overlooking Corea Harbor is so soothing. The owners, who live in the adjacent village, are always available and take care of the immaculate house and grounds during your stay. The interior is like a mini history museum and splashed with color throughout. Whether cooking a lobster dinner for one, or many, or just reading a book indoors or out, the homey feel of the farmhouse is conducive to utter relaxation. And the cooling sea breezes are at their best on the side of the island where the farmhouse sits. All in all, a true "home away from home." I hope to return for years to come."

  • Cool 1930's cottage right by thr harbor.

"We certainly enjoyed our stay here. We came for a week in October to hike the Acadia trails and enjoy the Fall foliage. Southwest Harbor has so much charm and is much less crowded than Bar Harbor. The cottage was well equipped with whatever you might need for your vacation. I loved the sleeping porches though it was too cold to use in Oct. I definately would stay here again."
