  • Perfect staycation

"Absolutely perfect! Beautiful view. The place had everything we needed to make it our home away from home! Will highly recommend and hope to come again!"

  • Perfect Cabin on the Water in the Woods

"This cabin was perfect for us! It was a short, easy drive into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, and also into Southwest Harbor. We got up early each day and enjoyed breakfast on the enclosed porch overlooking the water. Enjoyed some wonderful hikes during the day (highlights were Precipice, Beehive and Penobscot Mountain). Also rented bikes and rode the Carriage Roads one day which we highly recommend. The fall colors were beautiful and pretty much at peak in the Park. In the evenings, we'd have dinner in town and looked forward to heading back to the cabin to build a fire in the wood burning stove and sit around listening to music and visiting. Absolutely loved our stay at the Banach cabin!!"

  • great views, peaceful setting, and room for the entire family

"Cook's Cottage is a great place to stay. We often have trouble finding enough king and /or queen sized bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our entire family, and they provided the linens and towels, which was great! Nothing better than arriving after a long day (or two) of traveling to find a welcoming home, and the beds already made! The house also has a wonderful sun porch which was our family's favorite gathering spot, and it had a table that would seat our whole family. The roof deck offers great views of the harbor and the stars at night. Winter Harbor is a peaceful place to stay, while still being within easy reach of Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park (Mount Dessert Island), Finback Alehouse, and other points of interest. We also explored the Schoodic side of Acadia National Park, and took the Schoodic Ferry into Bar Harbor one day – the departure dock is right down the street from the house, which was great. Maine was gorgeous, and this house is great. Thank you!"

  • Attractive cottage, beautiful location

"Wings is a very attractive cottage in a wonderful location. We enjoyed being away from it all but not far from it all: Bar Harbor and Acadia are not far, yet the cottage is secluded, quiet and very private. We enjoyed the tides, the incredible view, kayaking, sitting on the porch (at all hours), and cooking in the well-supplied kitchen. We enjoyed our time in Acadia, but we were always glad to be back at Wings. What a very special place."
