  • Center for a Wonderful Family Reunion

"Our group consisted of 8 adults and a 2 year old who gathered for a memorial service for Grandma. The house was a perfect place for us to gather. It was very spacious with wonderful spaces that we could sit around and chat and enjoy a glass of wine. The bedrooms were as advertised and there were 4 full baths. Everything we needed was in the house. We were very comfortable there. Since this is a very old house, there was almost no overhead lighting, just table lamps. Putting on makeup in the bathroom was a bit of a challenge due to the lighting. The house was right in downtown Bar Harbor and it was a short walk to the main road, shops and restaurants. We were lucky enough to see the Bar Harbor Bed Races on the Saturday of our stay. Of course, the entrance to Acadia National Park was a short drive away. The owners provided us with plenty of information before we arrived and promptly answered a couple of questions that we had. The binder of info that was in the house was very helpful. This was a lovely home and I would recommend it as a great place to stay."

  • Beautiful surroundings and on the "quiet side"

"This property was represented very well in the description. Vicki met us when we arrived because we got there in the dark, but then we didn't see her again, no need. The view from the bedroom loft was beautiful and the surroundings were lovely, very well appointed home. We rented bikes at the Southwest Harbor bike shop right around the corner and love Eben! Very helpful and we could take them with us where ever we wanted to try to ride. We went out from Bass Harbor on the Island Cruises and had a great, informative presentation from Eli (the owner) all about the history, nature and the lobster business - get there early! Would highly recommend! Don't miss - Cadillac Mountain, Acadia Mountain or any of the harbors!"

  • Amazing Experience close to town

"I stayed at Stephen's apartment this past week while I was in town for a photo workshop at Acadia National Park and so glad that I chose this apartment. Not only was it nicely renovated and had off street parking, it was super convenient to town (just a few blocks walk to anything) and the national park. It's right in Bar Harbor so whenever we were doing things in town we didn't even need to drive. The apartment is very well kept and clean and a great relaxing place to come back to after exploring the nearby area. Everything was perfect, we didn't need to reach out to Stephen for anything during our stay. If you do decide to stay here are some highlights from our visit. There's a beautiful full kitchen in the condo with a supermarket only a block away but we found ourselves trying many of the local restaurants. Best breakfast spot was Cafe this Way (both the french toast and Mcthisway big breakfast sandwich were delicious), our favorite lunch/dinner spots were the Side Street Cafe and Pork Nation. Also, if you're looking for a great boat tour, the Bar Harbor Whale Watch Co runs an amazing lighthouse tour, it's 3 hours and passes 5 light houses. On top of all that Acadia National Park was only a few minute drive away, and we went on some great hikes."

  • Quiet, out of the way very clean. Excellent communication with the host prior to stay.

"Very quiet comfortable sleeping for two. The hosts were very pleasant, were very helpful and we had great conversations. The bed was soft and the home was very quiet, we slept great. It was a nice area with shopping and restaurants close. Would stay again."
