  • Stunning views, private setting

"Cozy, rustic, and private with all the comforts of home. The seaside location was seen from the huge windows from inside the home, from multiple spacious decks and from your own rocky shore. Acadia destinations are a close drive away as well as great restaurants. Owner was very gracious and accommodating. We loved Otter Rocks!!"

  • Lovely home in cental NorthEast Harbor

"This was my first time ever renting a home instead of staying in hotels while we traveled. To say I was nervous is an understatement. I was looking for a true relaxing experience while we visited Acadia, and I this house provided us that. First and foremost, Tim was very accommodating and understanding of the many questions I had regarding the rental process. In my first email to Tim, I told him that I had never rented a home before and within five minutes I got a phone call. He did everything he could to calm my nervousness, which I appreciated tremendously. I knew from that point I was dealing with a legit homeowner. Even at the last moment, he allowed me to add my small dog to our trip when I initially thought I would be leaving him with family. The property was a perfect size for our party. We traveled with four adults, three teenagers, a three-year-old, and my dog. The two couples each had the same size master bedrooms, so no flipping of a coin was needed, and the teenagers shared a room with ample space and their own beds. We really appreciated the multiple bathrooms when it came time to get ready. The house itself was stocked with more than what we needed to get by. It had everything! I kept saying to myself how much money I saved by not having to buy all those items that made our stay so comfortable. I have officially been converted to a home renter in my travels! The area of the rental was central to all the great things the island had to offer. In my initial search, I thought we had to stay in Bar Harbor to be around all the action. I am SO GLAD we did not! We visited Bar Harbor for one day but it was such a busy place that we never went back. It was just full of shops. Besides, all the fun stuff was around us. We visited all the great spots: Jordans Pond, Cadillac Mountain, The Carriage Trail, etc, but also got to go on a deep sea fishing adventure where the captain pulled up lobster pots and gave everyone on board a lobster. We did our fair share of relaxing too. It was very convenient that just a short walk from the house was a quaint little Main Street with stores full of everything we could need. Also, there was a Walmart and a Shaws a short drive away. We ate out sometimes but also made good use of the BBQ grill on the property. Our last day we decided to explore the SouthWest Harbor. I am so glad we did because we got a chance to take a kayaking trip on Long Pond at sunset. I told Tim we will DEF be back again! THANKS TIM AND FAMILY!"

  • Wonderful experience

"We stayed over Columbus Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The location of the house is amazing, right on the water. The sunsets were gorgeous and we really enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the evening. The house was dog friendly, which was a huge plus because we were able to bring our two dogs. We didn't have the right weather to be able to use the kayaks or row boat, but wandered the beach right in front of the house and did some exploring. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet retreat with amazing views!"

  • A lovely time

"The house is VERY well situated and has everything we needed. We visited in late September and the weather was getting cool, we enjoyed the fireplace. The home was spotless. We enjoyed the following - Bike rental for a nice tour of the carriage trails - You can access the trails from the bike rental shop - Walked the Ocean path - Hiked Cadillac mountain (south ridge up and down to enjoy the view) - Ate out at Bistro Mache - a little expensive but very good - Rosalie's pizza was excellent"
