  • Great Get Away!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented many camps in our days and this is the cleanest camp we have stayed in. Including the grounds and beach area. The camp is small but has everything you need. Saw a lot of wild life, eagles, blue herons, loons, ducks and much more. This place is a great place if you want a quite retreat but close enough to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay there again."

  • Family reunion

"Family reunion of three generations and over 10 people at a time was great!! Alberta and Bill Messer were generous with their time and experience. We most appreciated learning how to use the outdoor pizza oven and our one pizza dinner was a huge success. Everyone had fun making their own pizza and every pizza was eaten. It's amazing how quickly they cooked. Swimming was comfortable for all and the offshore floating deck was a hit. Fishing from the dock resulted in one cusk but none of us are avid fishermen. Kayaks, canoe and a big bulky rowboat were available. The art studio was used by one couple of the oldest generation and they were comfortable inspite of having to come to the main house to use the bathroom. The children were challenged and happily busy all the time. Indoor toys, beach toys, outdoor stage, costumes, frog ponds, ice cream parlor within walking distance and lots of books for bedtime stories. This house if stuffed with family memorabilia, antiques and cookwear. We lacked for nothing except more kitchen shelf space to put our groceries. This was a wonderful family experience."

  • Nice play to Mainecation!

"If you like the water this is the place to stay. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, swimming & fishing. We made smores on the campfire in the evenings. It was nice to have Walmart, grocery stores, shopping and restaurants nearby. We visited Portland, Freeport and Boothbay which were not too far away."

  • Peaceful secluded and relating location.

"This was our first time renting this home. We were very pleased with how clean, comfortable, and homey the house was. The dock was very nice and sturdy and great to fish, relax, or just read a book on. We had a fantastic week of vacation and would definitely consider renting here again."
