  • Great week!

"Even though we are local, we wanted to enjoy the lake over the 4th of July. The cabin had everything we needed. There were a lot of fireworks on the lake, which was enjoyed while sitting around the fire pit. Perfect after a day filled with swimming and kayaking from the private dock! Last year we rented a camp that had a shared dock, which we were not aware of until people started coming and using it. This cabin's dock is not only private, but offers a nice ladder with flat rocks below to enter the pond without hurting your feet. The water depth is waist high but does get deeper at a nice decline. We were able to secure our friend's fishing boat to the dock, which was handy. We highly recommend this rental!"

  • perfect Maine vacation home

"We had a lovely week in this wonderful home tucked into the trees and looking out on a beautiful lake. The house is only a mile from a nice little town with a country store and a couple of restaurants, yet it feels like you are in the middle of the woods because of the trees on either side. I don't think the pictures that we saw ahead of time did the view justice, it was such a pleasure to gaze out onto the lake at all times of the day (the sunsets were particularly breathtaking). We spent the entire week in and around the water -- a sunfish and a two person kayak are available to renters, and the lake was perfect for swimming as well. Our entire family had a relaxing and fun week in this lovely home, I highly recommend it!"

  • Awesome Family Vacation

"If your looking to relax and love tall pines this is the place for you! Very comfortable for a family of 6 and close to great hiking and many fishing ponds. Awesome owners and great location make this place worth the stay. Very secluded cove makes it great for first timers looking to hang by the water or hard core fisherman. Best vacation we had in 4 years and highly recommended for people looking to get back to nature and family!!!! Oops, and dogs that like to jump off the dock!!!"

  • Best rental yet!

"We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely cottage in early August. This is the fourth time we have rented through VRBO and this was by far the best rental yet! The owner was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions. The home was very comfortable, well furnished and well supplied with kitchen items, fun Fiestaware dishes and plenty of sheets and towels. As stated in previous reviews, the pictures do not do the cottage justice! The lake was beautiful and clean, perfect for swimming or boating. The owners provided a canoe and two kayaks, which we took advantage of daily. The dock was great, with stairs for entering the water, which helped avoid the rocky shoreline. There are a fair amount of stairs from the home to the lake, providing multiple patios/decks, with outdoor chairs, which allowed moving from sun to shade accordingly during the day. The night sky was amazing for star gazing and we saw spectacular meteor showers a few nights. There are neighbors on either side, but we rarely saw or heard anyone during our stay. The property as many trees and provided a nice amount of privacy. This is the ideal spot for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Our 15 and 16 year old and medium sized dog all have a great time and we all agree that this vacation home deserves a return trip!"
