  • Classic Maine Camp, Very Relaxing

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it was exactly what I was looking for. The island was about 300 yards by canoe, about a 5-7 minute paddle. Tom, Anna's brother, picked us up my motor boat and assisted us in bringing over our stuff which was helpful. The camp was part of a boys camp which was built in 1908. This island itself is about 2.5 acres and houses the main house plus the cabin (where I stayed). The cabin sits right on the water and it a classic Maine camp with lots of character. There is a pair of loons on the lake and their calls at night just added to the charm. Tom and his mother were very welcoming and friendly. I'm planning on coming back next year."

  • A Beautiful, Well-kept Cottage with an Outstanding Lake-front View!

"The six of us (my wife and I, 2 kids and my parents), stayed at Owl Cottage for 3 nights. Kelly was a terrific host, friendly, great communication and answered all of our questions immediately. Her cottage is a beautiful, clean and very comfortable space that provided plenty of room for the 6 of us. The pictures on the listing do not do the space justice. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen space was clean and easily accessible with all of the necessities required for preparing breakfasts and we even baked a birthday cake! It did get a little chilly at night as expected for this time of year in Maine and the new heater that was installed worked perfectly and warmed the place up quickly. I cannot say enough about the view, Lake Androscoggin is right out your front door and Kelly provides kayaks and water safety gear (unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy them!). Enjoying coffee and the spectacular view of the lake with the splendid Fall colors really helped make our stay even better. We were only here briefly to visit my Aunt who lives locally, but I can totally see this place being terrific for a longer vacation. We are already planning to come back next year! Thank you, Kelly!!! Best, Peter"

  • A breathe of fresh air- much needed private peaceful escape away from reality

"This location was absolutely perfect. It was private, secluded and the views were breathtaking. The cottage was so homey and tastefully decorated. The attention to detail was everywhere throughout the property. When we first arrived, I was in awe of the depth of beauty and found myself frozen on the Adirondack chair at the edge of the dock unable to move. The water was calm, the colors were reflecting off the water, there was little to no sound allowing a true feeling of peace away from the hustle bustle of everyday life. The cottage had an amazing stove which was going when we arrived. We enjoyed the fire and kept it going throughout most of our stay. We saw otters, beavers, and blue herons. We fished a little and caught a few 3-4 LB Bass and one 5 LB Pike. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and we even went swimming in the rain. An amazing place to make memories as a family. Would highly recommend this rental. The property is amazing and the owners are such a nice couple. Super friendly, helpful and just sincerely kind. Ingham pond was so beautiful and we all had an amazing time. Paula & Mike Gibbs"

  • A perfect place for a family vacation

"The lake house is simply beautiful and the photos do not do justice. Every visitor we had marveled at the interior of the house and the surroundings. The lake is literally steps away and the kids love to run down the little path to the small beach. They also built a fairy house in the backyard and left a slug to guard it against bad guys until their return. My wife and I really enjoyed the peaceful nature of the property and we hardly left the property during our weeklong stay. It is a perfect getaway for family vacation and we are already talking about coming back next year. On top of everything the owner is very responsive to our inquiries and the manager maintained communication via text throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the natural beauty of Maine."
