  • Awesome Honeymoon Getaway!

"Our week in Monmouth was lovely! Anne was super helpful leading up to our trip but gave us all the privacy we wanted for our honeymoon at her cabin. We knew she was just an email or text away if we needed anything. The house was charming, clean, and had just about everything we needed to cook light meals. The bed was super comfy, which was great because we were exhausted from wedding insanity and took quite a few naps. The cabin is close to a few other houses, but we never felt crowded. We loved the stream access and we took advantage of the kayak and boat a few times to explore the lake and surrounding beaches. We even got to hear a loon couple calling to each other one early morning! Anne warned us ahead of time that the cottage had no central heat and that it might get chilly this time of year, but we were left space heaters and plenty of cuddly blankets and we were perfectly comfortable the entire time. All in all, it was a perfect week of paddling, steaming lobster, visiting nearby towns and farm stands, resting, eating, and enjoying the GORGEOUS fall colors! We will definitely come back for our next quiet relaxing vacation. Thank you Anne!!!"

  • The way life should be

"This summer cottage is the way life should be, gracious living in an idyllic setting. The house is beautifully designed and decorated with high end finishes. It has a definite "wow" factor The lake is so handy and visible from many windows making it easy to keep track of those on the dock or in the water. The bedrooms are amble sized each with a great bathroom. The kitchen was the gathering place for everyone, with multiple cooks prepping meals, others chatting at the dining table or wandering in and out of the screened porch. It was surely the highpoint of the house. The many big screen TVs were be a hit with the Olympics on. The downstairs became the Man Cave and a great place to see the Olympics at night while the kids played ping pong. The house was spotlessly clean. And the comment from everyone was about the great bedding and comfy beds. The towels were big and fluffy, and in abundant supply. The kitchen and pantry were a great resource for a few items needed to create spur of the moment dishes. In addition there was not one tool we were lacking even for the professional chef we had for a couple days. The kayaks were great for early morning forays in the quiet air with just the loons for company. We rented a pontoon boat and paddle boards from the nearby marina and they were terrific to work with. We loved our boat rides to the island with the rope swing for jumping into the water, swimming, and paddle boarding. The boat trip to town for lunch and leisurely meander home was so much fun. We had a few items on our wish list: grab bars in the showers would be very helpful and a few maintenance items including doors opening and closing. I would have given it five stars if there hadn't been the several maintenance items. Vicky was very responsive and immediately available by text."

  • Great Location!

"I've been doing a fishing weekend with a few friends for many years, this year stood out as the best one we've had. The cabins are much more secluded than you would think based on the location, and being close to the main road makes running to the store a quick trip. Also a boat launch right around the corner, and on-lake gas about 150 yards up the bay (very reasonably priced for on-lake gas as well). The cabins are in excellent condition. The back cabin seems to be brand new, and the front cabin appears to have been recently redone. Everything you would need in the kitchen. Handled 5 people very comfortably. The property owners are very responsive. I emailed asking where to find the best lobster roll near by, they responded with a suggestion immediately, then again the next day with another suggestion after they asked some of their friends. Fishing on Cobbossee was excellent. Everyone got plenty of fish and we even landed an nice White Perch right of the dock. We will certainly be coming back to this property again for another fishing weekend..."

  • Cozy and secluded

"My family attended a wedding in the area, and since there are no hotels very close, this house was our best option. We had 7 adults upstairs in the main area. Sharing one bathroom wasn't the best situation, but we knew what we were getting into before we arrived. We also had two friends downstairs in the extra space, which was nice bc we then had access to the pool table and game area. The property out back is nice, and we made use of the canoe and kayaks. Come here for rustic solitude."
