  • A Perfect Escape

"I have stayed at several cottages in Maine. This is the best. The cottage is very clean and has all the utensils that you need. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is it. It has a nice sandy beach and easy in and out for kayaking. The loons called and greeted us along with beautiful sunsets. The cottage offers views of the lake on two sides. Great spot for day trips but a bit of distance for dining out. Steve has kept this camp up to date with new appliances and repairs. We caught several fish off the beach and boulders but left all the clunkers for the next guest. This was a great stay on a beautiful lake! We will do this again."

  • A peaceful escape

"My husband and I stood at the log cabin this past week. It was the best home away place we have stayed at. The log cabin was huge the pictures do not do it any justice. Kathy keeps the cabin very clean and fully stocked. The cabin was so cozy it really felt like home. The house is in a private area which is great. We spent many evenings on the deck (which is huge) having a BBQ or just sitting outside enjoying the peacefulness. The hot tub was so relaxing at night looking up at the sky full of stars. We brought our two little dogs with us and they really enjoyed swimming in the lake which is right down the road. Overall this was the best trip by far and we really hope to return again soon!"

  • Nice place for a first-time visit to Maine

"I've been coming to Maine for over 30 years with my husband to visit his family. This year, I brought my brother and his family---first timers. Mind you, they are not campers; can't stand bugs; and don't like the "rustic". They loved it! The house is roomy, comfortable, beautiful and the kitchen is well- stocked. The lake is beautiful also. My family was so excited to see an Eagle, Osprey, and the Loons---they were there every morning(and the girls were fascinated by them). Scott and Lisa provide wood for the fire pit (very cool) and they have three kayaks which was also a first-time experience for my family. They went out on the lake (which is pretty calm) almost every day. The location is not bad for particular points of interest i.e. Portland, Freeport, and Popham Beach. Great restaurants are in Hallowell, Agusta, and other places as pointed out by Scott and Lisa. Scott was easy to work with from the beginning. He always responded to my texts and e-mails. He was there to greet us and give us a helpful tour and he also returned our deposit (with a shirt I left behind) within a day. Loved it!"

  • Last week in July at Tall Pines

"We were looking for a camp close to Madison to visit family and friends, this camp was perfect. Growing up in the area, spending many summers, at camp, Tall Pines was a page from my childhood. The camp was set up great with all you'd want for the kids and adults. Privacy, family cookouts, swimming and more swimming. Rummy was played, ghost stories told, drinks were poured, and family secrets were spilt. Can't say enough except wished I'd had another week. The only issue was, because of not wanting to go to town, I missed out on seeing some people."
