  • So relaxing and cozy. Great location!

"It is cozy and comfortable and located on a wonderful camp road. Ideal for families. We had use of the two kayaks and paddleboard! We enjoyed watching the loons swim by the dock and the glassy water in the evening. Camp was inviting with comfy beds and kids loved the air hockey table and fooseball table. Comfortable beds. Front door needs to be planed to open easier. I would recommend to others for sure."

  • Nice place for a first-time visit to Maine

"I've been coming to Maine for over 30 years with my husband to visit his family. This year, I brought my brother and his family---first timers. Mind you, they are not campers; can't stand bugs; and don't like the "rustic". They loved it! The house is roomy, comfortable, beautiful and the kitchen is well- stocked. The lake is beautiful also. My family was so excited to see an Eagle, Osprey, and the Loons---they were there every morning(and the girls were fascinated by them). Scott and Lisa provide wood for the fire pit (very cool) and they have three kayaks which was also a first-time experience for my family. They went out on the lake (which is pretty calm) almost every day. The location is not bad for particular points of interest i.e. Portland, Freeport, and Popham Beach. Great restaurants are in Hallowell, Agusta, and other places as pointed out by Scott and Lisa. Scott was easy to work with from the beginning. He always responded to my texts and e-mails. He was there to greet us and give us a helpful tour and he also returned our deposit (with a shirt I left behind) within a day. Loved it!"

  • Beautiful Lake and very comfortable house

"We were very pleased with the house and the clarity of instructions. It was clean, well stocked and the owners were very responsive to any questions. The water access might not be the best with little children and the overall swimming accommodations on the lake are very limited. Delightful stay!"

  • Beautiful and Serene Location

"My cousin and I stayed at the Camp for a girls getaway week and had a fabulous time! The owners, Bruce and Liz, are very accommodating and the camp has everything you could possibly need. If you love nature, this is a great place to go to enjoy it. The amount of wildlife at the lake is amazing! Most especially the loons and eagles. My cousin enjoyed fishing from various locations on the lake and shore and I especially enjoyed kayaking at sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed dinners on the deck overlooking the lake while listening to the birds. We hiked nearby in Acadia National Park as well as around the lake. The camp has something for everyone - for outdoor activity there's fishing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and sailing; and for more sedate activities, there's TV, movies and relaxing on the deck or down by the lake with a good book or a pair of binoculars for bird watching. I definitely recommend this Camp to nature lovers; people who enjoy outdoor recreation; and people who are looking for a serene location to simply take time to relax and recharge."
