  • Beautiful location and accomodations

"This is a beautiful location for renewal and quiet where you benefit from the sense of being away from everything but near enough to get groceries, lobster, and northern coastal Maine destinations. The property is very well-maintained with responsive owners."

  • Fun Camping Experience Had By All - Including the Dog

"We rented the cabin for a long-weekend getaway with our golden retriever pup. We had an absolutely wonderful time - by the first night we were already talking about what we'd do the "next time" we stay! The cabin was perfect - we had fun using the coffee percolator for the first time, and enjoyed tasty sausages, hot dogs, and peppers on the grill. The location was just pristine - we spent most of the time outside reading on the Adirondack chairs by the water, fishing off the dock, and canoeing around the lake. Our pup enjoyed swimming in the water, listening to the loons, and snoozing by the campfire. We went to Quoddy Head on Saturday - not that far of a drive and we'd definitely recommend the loop hike to anyone who wants to see quintessential Maine without the crowds. Thank you again - we had a such a great experience and we can't wait to come back!"

  • Fantastic getaway

"The two of us enjoyed an amazing week with our 9-year-old kid at this cottage. Though the cottage is several miles from the nearest store, the location can't be beat if you want privacy/seclusion with day trips. Highlights of our trip were watching fireworks from the sunporch on the 4th, the sunsets right outside the cottage, the view of the night sky from the porch bedroom, a day trip to Cutler for a hike, a Winter Harbor ferry trip to Bar Harbor, and watching porpoises off Schoodic. The cottage itself has been set up with great care, and everything we could have imagined needing was there. There are binders of information about the house and local hikes, restaurants, and day trips so you won't even need an internet, lots of interesting and helpful books, and cozy gas lights for reading at night. It's so comfy, and so well-outfitted for cooking, you don't even really want to leave. We would love to return to this amazing cottage. Thanks so much to its owners and caretakers for a great week!"

  • Private haven

"We completely enjoyed our stay in this comfy cottage, overlooking a private cove. It was fascinating watching the tides go in and out, seeing golden sunsets and listening to birds calling. The cottage was very neat and clean, with everything we needed for a fun, relaxing week. The setting was so peaceful and secluded, yet within driving distance of so many interesting places to explore. The owners were very accommodating, with helpful ideas about the area. We can't wait to come back!"
