  • You cannot beat this spot! Four adults, four kids, two dogs and we all had the time of our lives.

"We had so much fun in the yard and on the water. Kayaking at high tide to the nearby islands or up the Englishman River, and exploring the rocks and flats at low tide. The huge lawn was perfect for frisbee and football or playing fetch with the pups. And what a view beyond! Comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen (we made great use of that wine fridge) made for cozy nights on the coast. Privacy! We spent days on the beach and would see next to no one. This privacy was respected by Captain Mike, while he was still available whenever we needed him. And he is full of great local suggestions! A big hit of his was steering us towards Mother Shuckers for truly the freshest lobster we have ever had. They were in the waters just outside our door mere hours before they were on our dinner plates. A great grill on the deck made it easy for us to spend as much time outside as we could. Think grilled pizzas and star gazing. So many places to explore for day trips makes this a great home base. Roque Bluffs State park, 2 miles away, has great walking trails, a sandy beach and a freshwater lake. (And wild blueberries!!) We hit Bar Harbor and Acadia one day, about an hour and a half away, and both East and West Quoddy lighthouses. West Quoddy is less than an hour from the house. All in all, none of us would hesitate to return. Thank you for a great family vacation."

  • Awesome rental

"We stayed for 9 days at this beautiful cottage and found it to be perfect. Great views, quiet, privacy and the cottage had everything we needed. The owners took great care to provide reference books in the home that addressed any questions we had. We were able to kayak from the house each day, go hiking and relax. A perfect get-away spot. We are frequent renters in Maine and this was, by far, the best place we have rented. We will be back."

  • Beautiful location and accomodations

"This is a beautiful location for renewal and quiet where you benefit from the sense of being away from everything but near enough to get groceries, lobster, and northern coastal Maine destinations. The property is very well-maintained with responsive owners."

  • Not your average vacation

"We stayed at Perio point for two weeks this summer. It is an extraordinary location. My father, at 88 yrs old, has some mobility issues and Phil's place made for a perfect vacation spot. The handicap accessibility was key, and beautifully integrated into a luxury house on the most beautiful coastline in America. Beals Island is a lovely, wholesome, community. Well worth the drive north of Acadia National Park. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with yourself and your loved ones, this is it. Thanks Phil, we'll be back next summer!"
