  • Highly recommend and we hope to return!

"My husband and our two daughters (ages 8 and 5) stayed at the cottage in August and had a fantastic time. Jim and Sue were delightful, friendly and welcoming. We spent many mornings on the beach looking for sea glass and shells...the girls loved the beach and the big lawn with plenty of room for cartwheels. Beautiful sunsets. Peaceful. Private. The cottage was comfortable and relaxing, and we appreciated the furnishings. The entire experience far exceeded our expectations. We were happy to just hang out at the cottage and on the beach...but did venture out to do a few nearby hikes (Pigeon Hill, and another one farther down that road) and to Schoodic Point...gorgeous. Thank you Jim and Sue for a fun, memorable and relaxing experience!"

  • Amazing Family Adventure

"We had the most amazing stay with our 2 young children at Caddo North in September. The house was spacious, clean, and had spectacular views. But the best part was the property. The kids spent hours outside climbing rocks, exploring the woods and looking for wildlife. We also loved the location. It was close to the Schoodic part of Arcadia Natl park, which we preferred over the main the park because it is less crowded. The surrounding areas are also not as touristy and crowded as the areas around Bar Harbor. One of the highlights was going lobster fishing with Robertson Sea Tours out of Milbridge (about 20 minutes away). But I would say my favorite part of the vacation was sitting together as a family on the chairs in the backyard that overlook the water and watching the sunset every night. #magical"

  • Amazing Place

"Might be the best place on the Maine coast. Fantastic view of the ocean, working lobster boats, and breathtaking sunrises. The house was well-stocked with everything needed for a short or extended stay. We highly recommend this property. It is clean, quiet, and quite convenient to the small town of Milbridge."

  • The Kids Didn't Want to Leave!

"Our family of 4 traveled up to Maine to celebrate my son's 9th birthday with a trip to Acadia over Columbus Day Weekend. My in-laws joined us for the adventure, too. We packed our own groceries, so there was no need for us to visit a grocery store. In the event you think you've forgotten something, check the cabinets. There were plenty of condiments to use. The home was cozy, yet spacious enough for us all to enjoy. On our first morning, the kids woke up and ran straight to the dock to watch the sun rise over Flanders Pond. The view was beautiful and serene. We visited Acadia on Saturday since it looked like the only rain-free day of the weekend. It took about 40mins or so, but not a bad drive. We did Cadillac Mountain, ate lunch by the water, and rode our bikes on Aunt Betty's Loop. Because we have 2 youngish kids (9 and 5), this was a mild trail with a few hills. The trail is right off Rt. 3. We ate dinner at Ruth and Wimpy's that night. Be sure to make reservations! We did and our table was waiting for us when we arrived. We ended our first night with a fire in the back. Sunday was overcast, but we took advantage of the 4 kayaks early on. Once it started raining, we headed back inside for hot apple cider and board games and pool. My in-laws rent out their house during the summer on Cape Cod, and they were quite impressed with the cleanliness of this house, as well as all of the amenities provided. As we were packing up on Monday, the kids kept saying how much they didn't want to leave. This secluded spot provided everything for a great birthday trip for my son. The kids especially liked the swing tucked away by the water, and made us take pictures of them on the swing. Thank you for allowing us to create some memories in this tranquil spot!"
