  • Maine beauty

"This was our second stay at Tatnic House and we were fortunate to have amazing weather, plenty of beach time and a quiet, comfortable house to return to after our adventures. The location is great - a short drive to the busy Post Road where you will find restaurants, shops, etc. The house was super clean and the kitchen well appointed. Beautiful front garden and I can't get enough of those weathered shingles! Thank you, Tatnic House for another great vacation."

  • So Relaxing

"I have rented several cabins over the years and have never been to one as fully equipped as the "Looney Lodge". There were 4 children (2-15), 3 adults and a dog -- all of whom were fully occupied with the activities available. We only spent 1 day at Acadia because we were so happy being at the cabin. Everything from WiFi for the cell phone-addicted teens to Smores at night. The ducks were even friendly. Everything was exactly as described."

  • Wonderful Maine Getaway For Our Family

"Each summer, my family gathers together for a week. This year, my dad chose the Snowbird Lodge in Harrison, Maine. It was a winner for our large family that included 9 kids from ages 6-16. The layout was perfect for our family that totaled 19 people. It was very clean and the kitchen has every appliance we needed. Most of our time was spent at the Island Pond where the shallow water was kid-friendly and allowed for many enjoyable days in the sun. We thoroughly enjoyed paddling around the lake and jumping off the swimming platform. In the evening, we sat by the fire and even enjoyed the sauna when it became cooler. It was about an hour to Portland where we traveled to take a whale watch tour and learn about catching lobster. We had 3 generations with us who all enjoyed our week at Snowbird Lodge. Harrison is very close and a great place to get ice cream. We also trekked to Bridgton which was about 15 minutes and visited the book store and several local shops. Many thanks to Shelley for her wonderful hospitality and giving us a beautiful place to make memories!"
