  • Best spot in Bar Harbor

"I can't say enough good things about this house. This is our 5th VRBO and one of the best. Communication with Sean was easy, fast, and accurate. He's very helpful and knows a lot about the area. He always got back to me right away with any questions and checked in on us to be sure we had everything we needed. Location: AWESOME. Walking distance to all things! We walked to the grocery store, walked to breakfast, dinner, shopping. We could have walked to the shuttles, but we're sunrise people so didn't do that. Kitchen: Fully stocked and well kept. We didn't end up cooking much (so much to do!), but easily could have. Everything was very clean. It's a small thing, but I liked having water in the fridge door. We refill water bottles a lot, so that was very helpful. Sleeping: We were 4 people, two couples. My folks (in their 60's) had the master bedroom/bathroom upstairs and had plenty of space to spread out. We took the loft off the living room. The pictures don't do it justice. The bed is very comfortable, the room below had plenty of space for our stuff. The house is very quiet so we didn't hear each other. I was concerned about this a little since the master seating area overlooks the kitchen and our doors lead to the living room, but there was no issue at all. I also never heard the person on the first floor. I know they were there, but couldn't hear a thing. Hanging out: The kitchen table is big and a natural gathering place. The size of the kitchen makes this an easy thing to accommodate so we could be making breakfast and hanging out together. The sofas in the living room are very, very comfortable. The entryway was great for taking off rainy shoes and jackets before heading upstairs. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow for sitting on the deck, but it looked like a great spot! Only semi-downside is that there is only one parking space off-street. When we arrived on a Saturday night, there wasn't much street parking so our second car just blocked the driveway (after we parked in it). That was the only day we had any problem finding street parking right at the house. Not an issue, just something to know. If you're looking at staying in Bar Harbor with a few people, this is a great choice. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

  • Sue & family

"Our stay at Loon Cove was perfect! The pictures and description of the house were just has Jennifer had described. We didn't want for any amenities and if we wanted something special, it was a short distance to the market. I went with my husband, two teenagers, and two dogs, and there was something to do for everybody. It was nice to explore the lake with the kayaks, swim in Crystal clear water and just soak up the beauty and peacefulness around you. I think the beauty of this house is disconnecting from the craziness of life. My 14 year old daughter had some withdrawals from not receiving cell service at first but by the third day of our vacation she forgot about her cell phone. If we needed anything there was a landline. This vacation was a great way for a family to reconnect and spend good old-fashioned quality time. In addition pets are allowed. The house was very clean, and there were even amenities for the dogs. I was able to walk my dogs each day on the roads and explore the surroundings around me. I would highly recommend this house because as I said it's a great way to reconnect with family and enjoy the beauty of Maine. Thank you Jennifer for sharing your home with us! Look forward to seeing you next year!"

  • Fantastic Cottage Location

"My husband and I had the privilege of spending a week at this amazing cottage. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful place to vacation, look no further. "Stone Beach" is perfect for two people. Grant and Becky could not have been nicer hosts. They were very informative about where to eat and what to do while visiting Mount Desert Island. Our favorite restaurant was Thurston's in Bernard. The granite bathroom is exceptionally nice. The king bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed watching the deer in the yard every morning while eating breakfast and walking the seawall. We highly recommend staying here!"

  • Perfect!!!!

"We arrived to find the house to be exactly as described and pictured. The house was comfortable and perfect for our week at Acadia. We were maybe five minutes from the Cadillac entrance to Acadia and a ten minute drive at most to down town Bar Harbor- perfect location! The trail for Connors Nubble is a five minute drive down the road (if that) at the carridge road parking- great trail and SO CLOSE!!! The cabin had everything we needed to make lobsters and steamers, the grill was great, and the fire pit was perfect for smores and relaxing after a day of hiking. Plenty of blankets and even pans to make blueberry cobbler! Plenty of room for my hubby and I and our two corgis- even on a rainy afternoon - comfortable and cozy!"
