  • Fantastic vacation

"The cabin had everything we needed, all we had to bring was food and suitcase. We kayak and fished all three lakes, ate blueberries from the shore, roasted hot dogs over the open fire, swam and snorkled. The bass fishing was amazing. We saw loons with their young and other ducks. Took a walk down the road to see a deer standing in another roadway staring at us. Watched the red squirrels everyday and had quality family time together. The cabin was immaculate, very welcoming and peaceful."

  • Spectacular View, 10 Minutes North of Greenville, Great Owner

"This comfortable home overlooking Beaver Cove/Moosehead Lake is a perfect place for people who want to enjoy the restaurants and shops and outdoor activities in and near Greenville, while also savoring the serenity of quiet mornings and evenings overlooking the water. The other reviewers all accurately describe the great amenities and comforts of the house, so I'll focus on all the fun things you can do within a short distance of the house, that is, when you can pull yourself away from watching fawns explore the yard and bed down in the tall grass, watching their mother relax in the raised bed against the house, listening to the loons, and enjoying the meanderings of a wild turkey. We enjoyed a 3-hour cruise on the 1914 steamboat Kathadin to view the July 3 fireworks, visited the January 1963 still-intact crash site of a huge B-52 plane that crashed into Elephant Mtn. during an Air Force training exercise, spotted a moose during a moose safari canoe trip with Northwoods Outfitters, bought some wine from the Spotted Cat Winery (flavored with fresh fruits and even parsnips), took the quick boat shuttle in Rockwood to Mt. Kineo and then hiked 2 miles to the top of the bluff, and enjoyed eating at the Stress Free Moose Pub and Cafe and Kelly's Landing. We also went swimming down in Beaver Cove and took a couple of shoreline hikes at beautiful Lily Bay State Park. We took a day trip over to Moxie Falls on the other side of Greenville and had lunch in The Forks and an ice cream at the trading post in Jackman. We ran out of time and sunshine before we could get up to Baxter State Park to hike Sentinel Mtn. and look over to Mt. Katahdin. There are so many things to do in this area! So we plan to return some day to this very house. And it was so easy to work with Rebecca - she was always super prompt in answering all my questions during the reservation process. Highly recommend this rental."

  • Private, quiet slice of paradise here on earth.

"Perfect place to unwind and leave your hectic life behind for a while. Peaceful and quiet, just the sound of the water and wildlife is heard as you drift off to sleep. Comfortable and cozy the cabin sits on the lakes edge where large mouth Bass like to gather!! The worst part of the entire experience was having to go back home:( Would definitely return again."

  • Beautiful, Family Friendly Property with Stunning Lakeviews

"Three Sisters is just about good as good can get. I depend on the reviews I read on VRBO/Home Away and other vacation rental sites when making a decision about renting a property sight unseen. You may not be inclined to read my lengthy review below so here are a few brief descriptors from our family: perfect for a large family gathering; clean, comfortable well equipped homes; pristine, crystal clear lake that is perfect for water sports and fishing; easy entrance to the lake for the little ones; family friendly; relaxing; spectacular sunsets and the list goes on and on. I would add that the online description of Three Sisters is accurate and the owner is very responsive and helpful. Our family of 20 ranging in age from 5-70 just returned from spending an unforgettable week at Three Sisters celebrating my husband and my 50th Wedding Anniversary. The property exceeded our expectations in all regards. The lakeside setting is gorgeous, the grounds are beautiful and the three homes, each with its own personality are spacious, comfortably furnished, and very well equipped. Every day someone in our family would say “this place is perfect”. And, perfect doesn’t fully describe the property. While the 20 of us were spread among the three houses for sleeping we spent our waking hours outside on the beautiful spacious deck of the Maine House, enjoying the crystal clear lake – swimming, floating, cannon-balling off the raft, kayaking, fishing, canoeing, tubing (you must rent a boat and tubing equipment), stone skipping, duck feeding and more. We would drift in from the lake for a game of ball or cards or to eat and then back out again. Most nights a grouping of cousins, sister, brothers, aunts, uncles and grandparents headed onto the lake in our rented pontoon boat to star gaze. We spotted 8 shooting stars one night (bring your constellation map with you and see how many you can find). Three Sisters is a special place and our family enjoyed every minute of our stay there."
