  • Spencer View is absolutely breath taking

"My family spent the week at Spencer View 7/9-7/16. It was amazing from the time that we came over the hill in Greenville and saw the lake. It was absolutely beautiful. We got there a little early so we stopped in Greenville. Greenville was such a quaint and charming little town with the nicest people. When we arrived at the house, we were blown away by the atmosphere and the decor of the cabin. It was so comfortable, clean, spacious and homey. The kids loved the game room down stairs. (So did the adults)!! The house is perfect in every way! We loved spending time on the lake and kayaking. The sunsets are picturesque from the house and out on the kayaks. The chipmunks were the cutest little things and would come up and get food. We did have a deer that came and visited us a couple times a day. We named her Speckles. She would come right up and eat out of your hand. We saw 14 moose while there. We loved going out at dusk to moose watch. We did not have to go far!!! Then came back for a soak in the hot tub, bonfire in the fire pit and late night ping pong & pool games. The owner covered everything possible to see and do. The recommendations were great. We cannot wait to go back again and would love to experience it in the winter. Spencer View is perfect. Completely exceeded any expectations that we had. Thank you!!!"

  • Great family vacation

"The property was clean, well maintained, and stocked with necessities. Most importantly the property was as described in the listing thus enabling us to select a vacation property that met our needs. Adults and children all enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a vacation spot in backwoods Maine."

  • East Cove

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home! This home had all the amenities that we needed including close access to downtown Greenville. We all felt comfortable and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The 3 children (5-9-11) really enjoyed the bunk/trundle bed. The kitchen sink was amazing! Our pontoon fit perfectly at the dock and the gentle slope was easy for all. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, fishing and watching the sea planes land and take off as we watched from the dock. The little ones loved feeding the ducks and night snorkeling to see all the crayfish. Some hiked Mt. Kineo and some of us explored and were in awe of the B-52 crash site....worth the drive to get there. Our family enjoyed our nightly campfires looking for satellites and stars while having a contest on who could make the best s'mores! Your management team was helpful, accommodating and friendly....we truly thank them! We look forward to next summer when we can once again make this a family tradition at your beautiful home."

  • Spectacular View, 10 Minutes North of Greenville, Great Owner

"This comfortable home overlooking Beaver Cove/Moosehead Lake is a perfect place for people who want to enjoy the restaurants and shops and outdoor activities in and near Greenville, while also savoring the serenity of quiet mornings and evenings overlooking the water. The other reviewers all accurately describe the great amenities and comforts of the house, so I'll focus on all the fun things you can do within a short distance of the house, that is, when you can pull yourself away from watching fawns explore the yard and bed down in the tall grass, watching their mother relax in the raised bed against the house, listening to the loons, and enjoying the meanderings of a wild turkey. We enjoyed a 3-hour cruise on the 1914 steamboat Kathadin to view the July 3 fireworks, visited the January 1963 still-intact crash site of a huge B-52 plane that crashed into Elephant Mtn. during an Air Force training exercise, spotted a moose during a moose safari canoe trip with Northwoods Outfitters, bought some wine from the Spotted Cat Winery (flavored with fresh fruits and even parsnips), took the quick boat shuttle in Rockwood to Mt. Kineo and then hiked 2 miles to the top of the bluff, and enjoyed eating at the Stress Free Moose Pub and Cafe and Kelly's Landing. We also went swimming down in Beaver Cove and took a couple of shoreline hikes at beautiful Lily Bay State Park. We took a day trip over to Moxie Falls on the other side of Greenville and had lunch in The Forks and an ice cream at the trading post in Jackman. We ran out of time and sunshine before we could get up to Baxter State Park to hike Sentinel Mtn. and look over to Mt. Katahdin. There are so many things to do in this area! So we plan to return some day to this very house. And it was so easy to work with Rebecca - she was always super prompt in answering all my questions during the reservation process. Highly recommend this rental."
